bae systems are involved in designing and manufacturing the CV90. where else would Gajin they get their source material from on the cv90???
Magic, cleary BAE doesnt know what they are talking about in gaijin land
@Stona_WT can you help answer something, it realistically seems like gaijin just doesn’t accept sources from BAE themselves so can i ask why BAE apparently isn’t a reliable source for a vehicle they made? Again the weight is clearly too high and the armor is worse than all CV90’s and i know gaijin doesn’t think that a CV9030 with a new engine and some spikes equals 37t, i mean how can that happen when the LVKV 9040 weighs less, has more ammo, bigger gun, and more armor.
Yes please. As a USA main I can’t wait until we get enough info on the XM30 project to potentially see it and the XM913 added to the USA tree. I didn’t even know it was being mounted on a CV90. But I want it. A proper counter to the 2s38 would be nice. Even if it comes to a different tree first.
Both the Danish and Dutch CV9035 already in game have the 35mm
I’ve seen the same thing. And I’ve been here almost since the beginning. Any NATO source is taken with a grain of salt. Meanwhile a Russian manufacturers claims are generally accepted as absolute. I can almost believe that if Uralvagonzavod put out a press release claiming their latest variant of the T-90M could fly we would see it added to the game in the next update.
Hit a slight bump with enough speed or shoot it in the ammo and it’ll fly (sometimes)
Should have gotten the 50mm
From what i have seen after checking today it seams to be capeble of surviving 14.5mm all around tho the frontal armor is said to withstand 30mm apfsds
It should have 360 degree protection against 14.5 and 30mm apfsds against the the frontal arc (90°) i believe i read quite some time ago
it has the same armor as the 9030. Rn its the worst 10.7 ifv
It gets additional plating that slightly increases protection against 30mm in the front, but pretty much only stops the stock round, APDS has a chance of going trough, APFSDS will butcher it
As for the sides, it will help against 12.7mm AP rounds but anything above that and you better start praying
Its failing to do anything the MK.IV can do aside from the 1000 HP and spikes. The weight is wrong, the armor is wrong. I really dont need to list evry problem considering it shouldn’t take anyone a few guesses to wonder why it weighs 37t. Just a reminder the 9040C weighs 28.5t, this thing should have better armor yet doesn’t.
Again its supposed to be stanag level 6, a RCV shouldn’t be able to pen me from over 1km, stanag protects against all 30mm apfsds from 500m away
I’ve just decided to stick with the 9040 bill, i lose out on some armor and the spike but the 40mm makes such a drastic difference compared to the 30mm
It’s time to just make a few bug reports, let them get acknowledged (or rejected) and wait 2 years for a potential fix
3 bug reports have been accepted. Again no mods aside from Gunjob have actually responded to our pings or DM’s. Ive pinged Smin a bit and no response. Guess the MK.IV being literally unplayable isn’t really a problem to gaijin.
We can pretend that barely resisting 68 pen DM12A1 from a 35mm is impressive considering it shouldn’t have even penned me in the first place.
I test ed agains 14.5 and as long as the analys is corect, it goes true but if it hits enything it does nothing
Id, seems the turret frontally cant survive. Messing around in customs i even managed to kill the gunner with my US 50 cal. Again probably due to the armor being made of paper and in general gaijin soending 10 seconds on this vehicle.
Intresting, when i looked there was none that made damage, was it a wierd spot and/or angle?
Near the bottom of the turret while angled iirc. Could just be me gaijining him but regardless the armor is underperforming a lot.
