Its a real struggle sometime.
Its why i stopped writing for Finnish bug reports, i have no interest if Mods cant bother to read my post
Here are some more interesting info about IRST for CV
Lvkv 90, en teknikdemonstrator - Issuu
“During the upgrade to TD 2, the gun computer was equipped with a tracker card to enable automatic target tracking with the IRV. The function demonstrated that the tracker feature provides significant assistance to the gunner in both the target acquisition and tracking phases.”
This is a laser distance, rotational-speed and trigonometry based tracking, not IR or Video.
The gunner basically lases the distance once, tracks target manually and then lase distance again and then the computer calculates the speed and direction of the object based on distance and turret turn-speed to continuously adjust the aim as if the object is continuing on the same trajectory. If the target turns or changes speed the “tracking” will be off and the shots will miss (if solid shot, proxy will still likely hit depending on circumstances).
This is not a function that is in the game yet as i understand it (but should be easy to implement).
Yeah, that’s the tech demonstrator that later became the LVKV that is already in the game (which is why that is the only CV90 that currently has IRST in the game)
Will repeat some images from above as they are under a spoiler and easily missed otherwise:
Good description, the gunner can also continuously lase the target (atleast for the more modern vehicles) if my memory serves me right but that ofcourse comes with other negative affects.
I think i’ve heard that as well, there is a “continuous lase” mode that measures the distance x times a second or something, the gunner still has to manually adjust though if the aim “slides” a bit (like lagging behind or moving ahead).
Precisely, the gunner still need to keep the “reticle” onto the target but can choose to use continuous lasing instead of manual.
I would describe as a way to automatically track the general area and approximate movement (more than the specific vehicle) that the gunner then fine tunes manually before shooting.
So is this Post about gathering information for the CV90 Mk IV? If so will you make a detailed report to try and give it all of the capabilities it has in real life? If so I do believe that it has proxy shells or at least ones similar to AHEAD rounds seen on the puma because of videos by BAE and Ukraine War footage. The exact ammo and type as been impossible for me to track down. I do also believe it can auto track with the 5th gen sight electronics and it does have 3rd gen thermal. (BAE Marketing Pamphlet)
Well, if you read through the thread you will get all your questions answered :)
So if I am reading this right, they’ve denied the APS on account of not having the module in game, but Iron Fist is found on the challenger black night?
This model iirc never had APS, though be ready six years from now when they add the 9035 MK.IV as a prem for 400 krone for it to not have APS because logic
Realistically this thing should be the lowest BR spike carrier with how its worse than every other Spike vehicle in the 10.x range, no armor, no spall liner, no AA, no survivability, no speed
Not really sure it’s even worth the 10.0 in its current state.
Definitely not, again id say it could’ve been a side grade to the BILL but the BILL rn is better in everyway minus the stabilizer and sits at 10.3
It’s not even that much better than the other 30mm one, unless by some miracle spikes have been unfucked. And that one’s 9.3
CV90 Mk IV In depth Video Video Shown Has Information and Video of Programable Fuse Rounds and The Director and Owner Of the Company Explains the Fire Control System and 360 Degree LWS, and Cameras. And Reduced Thermal Signature Of The Vehicle
Spikes rn have better tracking but are still inconsistent at times, with how they are positioned on the MK.IV they pretty hit or miss unless you aim your turret to the left 30°
This vehicle is realistically useless
Not saying we should have got the one Sweden actually selected, but at least that one would have actually had a place.
