I think you underestimate the power of being practically invisible to thermal cameras XD Especially at top tier. If the entire enemy team is sitting on a hill and looking for your team and 4 tanks shining like torches crest the hill whilst you in your barracuda give of almost zero heat the enemies are not going to focus on you let alone shoot at you. so its not only the “less visible” part, it’s also the fact that there are other targets that are very visible so the enemy is going to gravitate towards spotting and aiming for things that light upp (tunnel vision, compare to the basketball monkey experiment if you have seen that one).
you wont be invisible to thermals, just have reduced thermal signature
also i generally dont even use thermals even at top tier, especially gen 1s
Things is, it is so reduced that it in practise might as well be invisible to thermals.

I realize that i should clarify (will edit above as well), the top image is thermal paint on an M1A1 Abrams, but you can imagine what barracuda is capable of if paint does that well Source.
The bottom image i’ve seen around a couple of times and most of the places say barracuda but i’m not entirely sure that it is exactly that, but again, the capability very much exists and i have seen videos of the actual barracuda in use, it is absolutely this capable (but for this one i sadly don’t think i can prove much more than a “trust me bro”). (general source though) I’ll see if i can find something better.

I know this is out of the cv90 discussion but since for now it looks like the finnish hornet dose not get ground pounding capability shows gaijins neglect towards the swedish players :'( we suffer
Ur they are planning a F/A-18C MLU with Helmet sight, better IFF, Litening pod, BOL pods, etc for later release. Would make sense to have after the F-18C in the tree.

You do know that by the time we see that model that will be outclassed in every regard yes? Sweden rarely gets aircraft and with how long we have to wait before we get a actual 14.0 worthy jet. At which point it will be power crept to hell

Concerning and irritating to say the least, we will probably not see any changes for quite some time. Best to hope for other CV models to come in the near future (hopefully)

What do you mean? wouldn’t that depend on the BR it gets placed in?
With how hard it is for gaijin to decompress air do you expect the MLU 2 to actually be olaced at a reasonable BR?
