Your second paragraph about commander takeover is already in game. Unless i’m misunderstanding your text in the report.
Hm, i dont think you can take control as a commander in the 9040B and 9040C.
You can do it on the BIll because of the Lemur sight, and the 9035DK/9030FIN i know those for sure but the other ones atleast i cant.
Huh, didn’t even notice that one (i assumed the report was for the MK.IV because of the thread topic).
It likely has to do with them lacking a dedicated commanders sight. but then yes, the UTAAS should double as the commanders sight.

Ah i see your point, i could have been more clear on the thread topic. So the commander has a display that can act as a duplicate for what the gunner sees and take control over the gun if something happens so i think this is a pretty important feature to have for those CVs that currently dont have it in the game.

Yea i just sent a message to one of them. Demanding pictures of the pages while violating international and EU law is really a concern.

Generaly everything you post needs to be backed up with pictures of the book sites, else you could just state the wildest things without proving them

I don’t think that is how it works.
It highly depends on what protection the book has. A large majority of published works just require citation to original source for small portions to be allowed to be shared.

gajin doesnt sell them or anything like that but only uses the information he just has to provide them.
Its like showing the book to your friend etc so to say

You should be fine using an image or a paragraph from a book without issue as long as you properly cite it (which you have to do anyway for the report).

I reached out to him but thanks for your input. The material or sources are not classified in any way but rather under explicit copyright law, which are stated on the first page on all three books so it becomes abit of an issue. I am generally all for posting pictures on the material to back up any claim but in instances such as this i would say citing and posting accurate pages should be enough alongside correct references. I could have posted pictures on the front page of the books however, but demanding images of the content of books which are in generall almost always under copyright law is by my view to much to ask. They surely have enough economy to buy them and if they dont like them they can always make a return and refund :)

Hm, i will try and reach out to the parties first to see if i cant get permission to publish a picture of the pages including my statements. If you reach out properly there tend to usually be ok with it and since its such a small part of them i guess it should be fine but if i dont hear anything during a week i will see if i cant take a picture and redact anything not related to it :). Also the books are quite old so i have that going for me also.

Hey bud, it would be interesting to say the least, i am unsure as to how much time i can spend moderating it tho.
I can already tell you.
If you dont post the pictures your report will be denied no matter what.
Additional the pages being redacted propably will end up an issue as well sinxe you might be hiding conflicting statements to profit for them and manipulate implementations
That is why i am forwarding my opinion/view on this matter either way there reasoning. And trying to find a solution.
We will have to see, i would have to give a good reasoning and explain the general content of the page i presume but i would also argue why its important to respect copyright law and why they “should” see it as enough legitimate evidence. But i hope i can get in touch with the owners of the material and get an OK to publish some of it so we dont have to get into any unnecessary discussions.
