Was more so referring to a document which states the exact weight for the exact CV90 we have in game. The Czech model with aps states 38t. We need one that states exact empty weight for the 9030 MK.IV we have, i doubt gaijin will accept your own math when it comes to the ammo and crew weight + empty weight. It was the same problem i had when i mentioned the T34 on finland weighs more than the russian one since they copy pasted the addon armor weight. I need exact sources to bot have them take the post down since reading was too hard with nore than enough evidence.
Oh, since the user was talking about the guns i assume you answered about the same.
As for you adding up the wight of the ammo and crew, it needs a source as they will immediately mark your post as a not a bug if you dont have exact weight.

This was the post i remade 5 months ago that still hasn’t been changed. Was actually true about my post saying it would be here for 6 month or longer with no changes.
Regardless this is more just a headsup as even showing your math won’t help, you need a confirmed source which i cant find one for this specific model. The Czech one is the main one i see. BAE seems to constantly use 35t for a lot of the times when they mention weight but then also mention 38t is the correct weight when shown with APS. So i cant say i know how an APS weigh 1t by itself.
Additionally i didn’t see anything we haven’t already mentioned when it comes to the spall liners. I dont have the info to create a bug report.
I like how they completely made up the “combat weight” to be 2 extra tons after multiple sources that were provided that says the curb weight is 35 Tons and a gross weight of 38 Tons. They add extra weight but don’t add any of the extra equipment that would take up such weight like extra armor, APS/LWS, etc.
Yeah, combat weight, is what i would presume to be the weight of a vehicle prepared to go into a combat zone. and thus would be equipped accordingly, with every defensive & offensive possibility. I,e. the modular armor package, ammunition, full crew complement inc dismounts.
This is when you reach 35/36 tons with the 30, and 37-38 tons with the heavier turret of the D-series, and heavier guns 35, 40 & 50MM reach 37-38 tons.
It is laughable that it is 37 Tons in current configuration. especially with armor that performs worse than all earlier Mk 1-3 variants.
Other than the armor bug we have up and running, can we look for data supporting spall liners on the CV90s? any info on this? I will personally start looking at this since i believe they do have it. There is an interesting video of a CV90 having taken a direct hit from a shaped charged projectile to the side turret but is still in working condition and almost doesnt look damaged from the inside.
I don’t think we have definitive proof for the MK.IV but we have for all the others. IIRC.
I will put in some sources once i come across any and we can see if we can create another bug report.
Didn’t apollo throw up an image of the white interior and video mentioning spall liners of some sort?
That was a Strf 9040C, which does have them both IRL and in-game, unless there are more I’m unaware of in Afghanistan or other areas where export models have been deployed.
These two of my previous posts is all i have so far:
Only spent about 45 minutes but i found these outside the ones we already have. Note that some of them indicate that all CV90s atleast from version B1 (B) have spall liners, the MK IV should be a no brainer. I also ordered two documentation/fact books about the CV90 so they should arrive in a couple of days.
(take note that wiki is not an accurate source of information used alone)
What books? :)
I’ve been thinking about getting the “CV90 photo guide” book from “Svensk PansarHistorisk Förening” for a while :P
Thats one of them but i also ordered “Svenskt Pansar…” and reached out to an old friend who might have some more books about it
Brilliant <3 I hope you find something :) (also just nice to have in general, it’s one of my favourite military vehicles)
Same! I will let you know if i find anything of interest once they arrive
If possible, could you confirm or deny the missing spall liner covering the small plate into the fighting compartment from the engine room.
Right side of fighting compartment, in front of the gunner. Seems extremely strange that plate is left out.
And in game the 10mm RHA plate that exists there serves only to create additional spalling into the fighting compartment.
Where are you referring to on this image of the liner:
Well, by that very lonely bit side by side by the drivers viewport, seems like such an odd layout. why would you put a liner the size of a glove right there and not actually encase the fighting compartment.
Still, even without spall liner, lining the that part the 10MM rha plate doubles the spall into the fighting compartment.
New bug report on the front plate being incorrectly positioned.

This one was already accepted but has also yet to be fixed yet.
