CV 90 MK.IV data and discussion

This would be amazing for a future CV9035 MK.IV.

Here is also a video of a captured CV90 after taking a unkown shell type to the side but still is in almost mint condition. Crew with personel apparently survived if im not mistaken.

Also noticed that most of the bug reports have been accepted! Some are still open but i suppose they forgot to close.

Thats what i mentioned, now we need spall liners and weight again

I agree, i have made 4 bug reports in a week and now christmas is approaching so i dont have time to sit down and make the spall liner report for now, if no one else does it before christmas i might have time before new year otherwise i can make one next year hehe

If i knew more info on the MK.IV id probably do it but im a viggen kinda guy, (now gib Danish F 35/bomber draken) ground vehicles scare me to bug report. Well unless their finnish, in which case they ban me for a month because theres a Hikaristi on them which i have to cover with a type 87 rcv (p) i named spoingus. Seriously i want to fix the camos on the WW2 finnish vehicles but the mods are killing me. Side note wheres the rest of DK gaijin? I need my home country.

Spoiler

I couldve just edited them out but i decided this was better for my Japanese tank stickers i have.

I have to say, i love Spoingus. Long live Spoingus the protector of innocence!

The entire Japanese lineup is truly a magical sight to behold. Honestly its my comfort lineup at 9.3, type 93 is safer in the enemy spawn than your own since most matches have us get spawncamped unfortunately.

The MK.IV cant have the hat in the middle otherwise you cant see with the commander sight. Huge loss in performance by not having access to my Danish magic to make enemies instantly lose 100 IQ points.

It is nice having a second vehicle with 1.5-24x zoom though and its in the middle and helps with firing from long distance…not that the 30mm is gonna be used like that.

It’s a bit sad that we can’t put decorations on the sights and stuff. It would be amazing to have a hat on the extendable commander sights and having the hat pop in and out of cover to taunt the enemy XD

But this is getting a bit of topic :P

True lol, honestly this is sorta on topic but why do we not have modern squadron numbers? Like none of the CV90’s in game have any of their markings and its pretty sad to not even see them on the back of the turret or hull. Would be nice to have some yellow numbers that were on the vehicle itself but i get some peeps would rather a clean look especially since the MK.IV isnt in service with with sweden. At least iirc sweden is gonna go with the D turret on the MK.III chassis. (Fingers crossed we get Danish MK.III) so the TT CV90 MK.IV D can be added instead of a MK.III

yeah, its so that players can choose for themselves what markings they want by getting decals :)

If i have understood things correctly there is a joint agreement with Sweden, Denmark and the Netherlands for a jointly ordered base model and then attachments/minor adjustments for each country after the fact. so the model Sweden is currently receiving is practically identical to the CV9035NL MLU, at least for the first 50 that are to replace the ones sent to Ukraine. Then after those 50 it’s currently anyone’s guess as nothing has been decided yet as far as i know.

you mean, “as well as a” ;)

I could probably put up a bug report for the name so we can get it changed but gaijin may be under the impression that this is the only CV90 MK.IV for the TT

I really don’t want to spend an eternity grinding for the exact same vehicle again since they couldn’t bother adding it with the first MK.IV.

This “upgrade” of the CV90 is just a CV9030FIN but with a pair of spikes that barely work either, but at a much higher BR.

My gut feeling from personal experience in the swedish army tells me that the 50 Strf 9035s have tha main purpose of testing what we like / don’t like with the modern CV90 variants, with the Strf 9040Cs being sent to Ukraine being the perfect excuse to purchase them. In like 5 years I can promise you a major order on something akin to a CV90 Mk5 will be placed based on the experience with the Strf 9035.

Yep, but it is a real version of the MK.IV.
I personally don’t mind it, if it gets the airburst rounds, tracking and correct armor it might fit well at 10.3 instead of 10.7

Oh absolutely! it might even be quicker than 5 years since other countries already have used it and have direct exchanges about experiences with the vehicles between all users.

The discussion about which IFV and modell that will replace the current CV90 are in high gear, they are looking and discussing for the next mayor purchase 2030 and beyond, from my knowledge. It is likely to be an upgraded CV90 from the 4th generation to 5th and i think the main concern or debate is the type of main armament, I do hope they keep going for the 40mm but a newer one.

I think the biggest reason they went 40mm to begin with was that they had a lot of leftover canons laying around after the decommission of the towed Anti Air stations using them. Now if they choose 40mm again it will likely have to be newly manufactured ones and that increases cost by quite a bit compared to choosing already established supply lines of 35mm (that would also give interchangeability with a lot of NATO regarding ammo and spare parts). So 35mm is a very likely choice, but it wouldn’t be out of the question to have a couple of 50mm made for apc/ifv hunting instead of troop carrying.

Sadly there’s only 4 decal slots :(

Also many decal types are unrepresented. For instance: bridge weight markers and unit numbers
