I don’t think Gaijin will ever fix this obviously unrealistically bad vehicle. It is easily one of the worst top tier SPAA. Gaijin will always find a way to nerf China.

i love this spaa its incredible especially with console radar i do have issues with loal not working against su30s for some reason and only su 30s even if its at 5km wont work but other than that this spaa is incredible
(this sre’s aka squibs experience ) i have felt like like this spaa has the ability for multi role usage that not many other spaas that this update has added and thats the multirole useage in tandem with many of the other spaas with its ability to work in tandem with other spaas for self defence from lts and mbts the ability for close in support from aircraft near spawn which happens alot in sre’s your team can kill missles while you fire at the aggressor aircraft and you can pre fire your gun which works well on hilly maps the loal is incredible and the dl helps with fighting me’s and nms if you keep radar lock which almost all spaas this update dont have the ap has consistantly killed t80s 2a7s m1s and challys from the side allowing me to win games i shouldnt have
closing thoughts i feel like after almost 100 games many of which in the competitive scene this spaa is the best support / close range air defence in the game and is on par with the pantsir

yeah no… you have at BEST an 8-10km effective range which is nowhere near what the pantsir is, rounds spread to a point where munition interceptions becomes very inconsistent (about 1km is where you can which is barely enough to intercept 2-3 munitions).
if anything it’s closer to the ADATS with the range, just slightly more capable with the improved firepower and f&f missile.
we 100% need a new system again since they clearly refuse to fix the missile on sa5

i mean in my experience it works well but thats mainly in combination with other spaa in a competitive setting
i.e 8v8 btween 4 and 8 tanks and 0 to 4 aircraft
you are best suited to protecting the more capable slm than actual air defense and this isn’t what an aa should be, especially not when it’s a system from 2024.
i want to love the sa5 but when gaijin has screwed it over to the point where it can’t play the air defense role very well and to the point i’d rather use the hq-17 for air defense it’s just depressing

Why can’t Gaijin just make SPAA performance somewhat similar across all nations? Letting the select few nations have broken SPAA is not balance

Even if you limited the missile performances across the nations so that they get the same performance, you would never achieve perfect balance as long as platforms are different.
I have more matches and a slightly worse kd but i can still say it outperformce tor and hq. you might have better single target performance, with the hq, but against multiple jet or one jet that fires munition you are way worse
After using it all this time I pretty much agree with you. I currently have better stats with the CS/SA5 compared to the HQ-17 or TOR

I don’t even wish to limit missile performance to around the same. You can have a bit more powerful platforms. However, all nations should at least achieve a base level of performance. I don’t need perfect balance I just need all nations to have a playable SPAA

You have an awful amount of opinions on systems you dont even have unlocked or have never played
The spyder, tan sam kai and cs/sa5 are absolutely awful compared to what is gonna be added in the next update. The fact that you still say “all nations have playable spaa” while the ones i just listed are useless compared to whats coming is hilariously stupid
