Again CV90 has those same problems shot to the turret both commander and gunner are probably dead, shot in the hull ammo explosion. No anti air ammo nor any way to track aircraft. All while having similar armor to wheeled vehicles.
Also im gonna be honest idk about the APS test drive wasn’t working for me the missile just keep flying under the CRV but given ive seen the KF41 i know the APS is worthless.
Also i called it a skill issue cause on launch people said the same thing avout the Vilkas until it eventually reached a consensus of being pretty meh, not great but not terrible either. This is going to go through the same things and once the bugs are ironed out it should be a fairly solid vehicle to the decent and growing 10.7 British lineup
I could list the problems with it but thats about 7 pages long, its just a terrible vehicle all around they also removed it ability to use spikes against drones so it has no way to shoot drones reliably (not that spikes were good to use anyways but they did work at 2km)
Also no CV90 has anti air tracking except the LVKV 9040C. It makes the CV9035 hard to play at 9.7 cause no missile launcher and no anti air weapons for drones.
I don’t personally recall ever calling the CRV Block II a horrible vehicle to play or anything along those lines; everything I’ve stated would point to me referring to it as mid at best. The solutions I’ve recommended in my original post aren’t even drastic anyway, and I clearly stated that after said changes it would be pretty effective, but not absurdly broken, for 10.7.
The Vilkas at least has the advantage of absorbing shots in the turret
The CV90 Mk. IV isn’t the size of the Burj Khalifa; the issue with the CRV is cranked to the max due to the vehicles height.
I wasn’t referring to you, my comment was more a general response to the majority of people ive heard give their opinions on the CRV. (Majority of complaints also stem from the BMPT which are farming said players.)
Regardless the CV90 is simply a worse CRV but this is really a contest of what massive overtiered light tank is more trash. Again its a compression problem compounded by a multitude of smaller problems terrible 30mm performance, a BR overcrowded with anti IFV IFV’s ect ect
Also your comment on the Vilkas was my point early to baartzy, the Vilkas def isn’t the worst but its not great either.
I think there is some truth to that argument. I believe people are simply misunderstanding the vehicle and playing to its weaknesses rather than its strengths which is nothing new. The BMPTS are also compounding this effect as they’re just stomping everything which nobody likes. However, as I’ve said that doesn’t mean the vehicle isn’t needlessly underperforming at the hands of Gaijin’s shitty implementation and that this doesn’t deserve to be fixed.
In regards to the SPIKE count, I don’t think we’ll see a change in that for a while. Gaijin is pretty firm on keeping to the 4 count unless evidence is provided proving otherwise. The ADF as a whole is pretty shitty on their media presence and transparency so I don’t think they’ll give us what we want for a while. That being said I or someone else should be able to get some data and photos at the next open day or events if a CRV Block II is displayed. Or maybe we’ll just get lucky sometime.
Like when the R400 or the EFV came out i farmed them in 35mm spaa i played tanks that countered them hard because i knew id see them on mass. This happens everytime tbf
Also if you think thats bad where would a MK.IV with a LWS and APS go? 12.0 the MK.IV is at 10.7 because thats the lowest gaijin will put Spike carriers.
Knowing gaijin its 12.0 with the 30mm the 35mm and 50mm models would be 15.0 lmao all without anti air ammo correct armor and no air tracking despite all sources pointing to these things existing lol
