CRV Block II : Inaccurate, Overshadowed, and Ultimately Redundant

i didn’t create post about non russian event vehicle being useless and missing half its features…

We all know by previous scandals that Gaijin has a very “selective blindness” on fixing things, decompression and economy included as well as vehicles. If anyone (not just you) genuinely thought Gaijin would implement this well, I dont know what to tell you.

Not going to lie i hoped this thing was going to be better.

The survivability is bad and the darts while having decent pen generate absolutely no spalling.
Should have sold it.

Its not the Block II tho. Its the demonstrator vehicle that went through considerable evolution before it became the block II.
Australia also did NOT buy the Strikeshield aps.

The post title ‘CRV Block II : Inaccurate’ refers to the designation in-game being wrong.

Also linked a bug report to this issue at the bottom of the original post as well

Early on they did think about getting an APS for their boxers but it was later dropped bc it didn’t fit into their mission requirements.

Even if, Australia was actually looking to get the Iron Fist APS in favor of the Strikeshield, because both america and the netherlands have it on the Bradley and the CV9035 respectively. lol

why is it so hard for the spikes to lock sometimes?

Gaijin’s horrible coding, for the most part. The Spike, or any other ground-launched FNF missile, either doesn’t lock at all, locks onto friendlies / dead tanks near you, doesn’t track properly, hits the tank in non-vital spots (machine gun, track, etc.), or completely misses.

For the most part, it’s a gimmick and shouldn’t be relied on for anything other than killing the occasional light tank.

sry i just realised i replied to you instead of the thread.

the reply had nothing to do with your post lol

First you need to fight BMPT, second it is not even that good. DoA is almost predictable.

cough cough

its survivability is solid irl, gaijin just screws up implementation

no spall liner 🥲

One shot… no fire… puf… all ammo gone, including missiles.

This have happened several times now…

That’s kinda dumb

same problem as the QN506. except the QN506 doesnt die with one shot, it just loses all offensive weapons

The the recent patch change to the Freccia OWS in regards to a hit to the ammo not killing the crew, perhaps they should consider the same patch for the CRV Block.
The Freccia has a 6mm plate below the ammo separating it from the crew.
The CRV Block has a 5mm plate boxing the ammo away from the crew. I’ve been hit with a single 30mm round in that ammo belt (that barely clipped it) and it destroyed the entire vehicle.
Perhaps we can encourage Gaijen to make the same fix to the CRB Block that they just made to the Freccia OWS (I think it was the patch on 1/20/26?

Is the APS supposed to be useless or…?

There are bug reports regarding the APS which have been accepted just not implemented yet one of which is the APS just refusing to work on any of the side nodes. See these;
