Hmh - from my pov wt lost his soul and the underlying concept years ago.
With a neutral and sober view on things the game looks rather like a gigantic scam (to generate income with mini-maxi transactions) as the game is clearly optimized to cater the needs of shooter driven minors and to lure them into the trap called “eternal grind”.
That’s the reason why Ground RB maps became more or less exclusively CQC maps or why Air RB sees this 16 vs 16 nonsense on way too small maps - this renders (to gether with the MM) the outcome of matches to a random event as actual tactical or even strategic game play (based on an experience advantage) become way less decisive.
Regarding MnK vs controller: If you have ever played MW 3 on PC and later on xbox you see the difference - totally different games as the aim assist on console is far inferior to a mouse usage.
Tbh, the only reason I play wt is because out of the vehicle combat game genre for console, wt is the best by de facto. The camo mechanic in WoT is what killed it for me, and that’s my 2nd option.
Your entire “pioneer in the field” sets a very dangerous precedent. How long until Xbox and PlayStation players are actively prevented from playing the full game in general? It all starts as a small conspiracy, slowly taking rights (not allowing Xbox players to access the full game with Crossplay disabled), and then it becomes Xbox players are not allowed the full game. These things always happens, and what we are looking at is the pioneering of a gaming apartheid (“we can be equal, separately”) that becomes a monopoly under the guise of loosely interpreted Capitalism (“nobody is stopping you from buying a PC” when anyone questions why console players are not allowed to play the full game).
The thing is too, War Thunder actively has taken the course for this snowball. First they limit our access to the Gaijin store (we cannot buy user created skins, access deals, etc.), then they limit our game (cannot play without Crossplay). Even now, they limit our ability to play with Xbox players. What is next?
Exactly, we get like two good deals a year (Christmas and Gaijin’s birthday), meanwhile PC players practically get half off deals every month (exaggeration, but relatively accurate), with the Gaijin store Golden Eagles being cheaper, ability to buy and download mod packs, access to more skins, the ability to buy skins, sights, and even buy more vehicles (old event vehicles, coupons, vehicles formerly in the game like the Maus, etc.), meanwhile what do we get? We get arcade only battles.
lmao you actually cant read though, why are you ignoring the fact youre confidently yapping about other stuff when you dont even appologise for your mistake.
Ie he said you dont have access to graphics settings, (if you could read), you repeated what he said as if he was wrong. Then you ignored it when he called you out
Would you look at that, he was right
<3 AWWWWWWWW would you look at that, they included you in the definition!
Yes! I’m really sorry to respond so late, but yes, I 100% agree with you here!
I think thats still leftovers from the whole console wars
That was sarcasm lol
Actually, that’s Microsoft/Sony, not Gaijin. It’d be better to start with them ending console acc transfers instead of that, because that’s actually out of their control
Like S1NK1N, you raise good points as well
Couple things, one:
That was much older and the convo had moved further by the time you came here
And two:
Not to be that person, but I’m not a he
I had the impression that Series X was pretty good? I’m using a Series S.
Good that you’ve never used controller for air, because the control stick resets to centre, making flying motions jerky and difficult to control. With a mouse you can just glide nicely and it works very well.
I think you can just play on console and then move your tech tree onto PC, and you’ll keep the -live suffix. When I say move the tech tree I don’t mean premiums or golden eagles. Just normal progress.
The Series X is a quantum leap compared to the xbox One, yes.
But - You see the differences between console and PC if you can compare them directly. Watching my son playing wt on a good/decent gamer notebook was an eye opener.
When you do the full swap, im pretty sure you drop -Live and gain access to the stores and whatnot, but I can log into my -live on my PC and play, I just cannot buy packs or see the Gaijin market
