Strictly, what interest me was this:
“Titles must not require cross network play for all multiplayer game modes.”
Now, why does this interest me? Because for whatever reason, console players can only play Arcade if they disable Crossplay. Specifically, they can only play three modes: Arcade Air, Arcade Ground, and Arcade Naval. So Console players do not get access to Air Assault, Ground Assault, or Helicopter PVE.
Why is this a problem? Because no other game limits you to less than a third of the game for wanting to play with your own people. Call of Duty does not limit you to campaign if you disable your Crossplay. You can still play Zombies, you can still play Multiplayer (albeit slightly longer queue times). Battlefield doesn’t limit you to campaign, you can still play Multiplayer, you can still play Customs, and you can still play whatever side mode exists. Rocket League is the same way, it doesn’t limit you to Customs Matches, you can still play Multiplayer and every special mode that comes out. Civilization 6 doesn’t prevent me from playing On-line. I can still play Minecraft if I wanted to. WWE 2K whatever, I can still play on-line matches. Even Enlisted does not prevent me from playing when I have my Crossplay disabled.
EVERY SINGLE GAME DOES NOT PREVENT YOU FROM PLAYING THE ENTIRE GAME, so what reason does Gaijin have for preventing Xbox and PlayStation players from having Realistic Air, Sim Ground, Helicopter PVE, Assault, and really, the entire game? It even states that “Titles MUST NOT require cross network play for all multiplayer game modes,” should I report this to Microsoft and force Gaijin to allow Console Players to have the entire game, or are they going to willingly implement it (after they fix an invite bug that has zero reason for existing).
Gaijin can limit what modes you can play without crossplay, however, they cannot deny you the ability to play anything at all
Realistically, just suck it up and enable crossplay. The only thing PC players have over console players is graphics settings and natively using Keyboard & mouse, which is something a console player can choose to use if they wish to
It’s stupid that you’re limited to arcade, but this is just petty for not wanting to face PC users
No, actually we don’t have access to graphic settings. They can be abused on pc to give themselves an edge as a lower graphics setting will get rid of some vegetation and frees up their view
Idk what your problem is. I play exclusively Air RB on xbox (first one, now Series X) - for years now. Xbox has severe disadvantages in the game play (graphics, fps) but also severe advantages from an IT security pov.
I do not recommend to use a controller vs PC players, a cheap MnK bundle for $ 20 is enough. I use exclusively the certified Thrustmaster HOTAS in Air RB (never played wt with a controller) and it works great.
I never said console did. You can literally even see my tag that says I play on console, hell I actually prefer console over PC because having restricted graphics makes the game feel better
(Yes, ik this is petty as well)
You’re stating abuse as a reason as to why you’re too afraid to play against PC players? I get it’s a “theres 100 people there and one could be a psycho”, but it’s still petty, and quite literally: a skill issue
Or they allow us to play the full game? It’s not hard to allow us to have access to the full game when playing with strictly Xbox players. That’s how it has been for generations, there is no good reason to not allow Xbox and PlayStation players to play with strictly Xbox and PlayStation players.
Yes, it isn’t that hard to have separate servers as multiple games have this feature. Lots of indie devs also allow for this feature so it isn’t a monetary issue
I had to inform you of that btw, because you stated that you were only talking about ground when the person you replied to was referring to OP, who was talking about all 3 modes
Also, as I stated
I never said im against more freedom to the crossplay-less, i stated this is a petty thing to bring to a court, as OP implied
Which can be changed, thru buying a mouse and keyboard, which, as you stated:
You can use MnK on other games, and personally, I have had the same keyboard and mouse that I got for $20, for around 2 years now, without issue
It’s not a quality issue just for being $20, sure it’s not the best keyboard out there, but it’s significantly better (and cheaper) than a controller (yes, ik consoles come with their controllers)
Making this a legal issue is when the answer is to just hit one button, and also a legal issue that would never pass due to direct wording in their policy:
“Titles cannot require crossplay to be active to play all gamemodes”
The issue is in “all” and not “any”
They’re allowed to limit it
Cheap shot to bring politics into this (at least I assume), which you can quickly realize you’re incorrect just by looking at my forum bio
I got the point earlier, but this is imho a personal choice.
I mean wt is basically a plain vehicle based shooter - so it is quite logical that some guys focus on the competitive part of any shooter. So either you accept several disadvantages - or you try to level the playing field.
Years ago you faced a hell of cheaters in pure xbox lobbies (like SWBF 2015) with scripted controllers and/or MnK usage - so everybody old enough to play the game can make his own choices.
You’re missing the entire point, I said that CONSOLE players, not just you, don’t want to buy a MnK for a game. Sure there are a few other games that support MnK, but there’s a good chance that if they are adapted to console, that means that controller will be the way to go. Also you get a controller with your Xbox so they might just not want to use a MnK entirely. Think of it as a patriotic idea.
Except there is precedent here. For generations, we were able to access the entire game without having a need to play with PC players or other console. If you bought a game on PC (Call of Duty), you had access to the same exact game on Xbox or PlayStation. The only difference was third party mods, that was it.
War Thunder, as of to my knowledge, is the only game that actively punished you for disabling Crossplay, ensuring you play a third of the game modes (only Arcade for Air, Ground, and Naval), and not allowing you to play any other gamemode outside of the main three (no Assault, no Helicopter PVE). Which contrasts to their other games like Enlisted where you have full access to the game with or without Crossplay enable. That is my issue.
I should be able to play Sim with or without Crossplay. I should be able to play Ground Realistic with or without Crossplay. The precedent is there, backed by over two decades of multiplayer gaming.
