Crew lock, continuing issues

If you want to spade a specific tank, like I said
Or if you want to just play a specific tank, like I said
Or if you only have one vehicle at the BR, like I said
AND you don’t want to 1 death leave

Then you need backups currently. Doesn’t matter if you mentioned them or not, I mentioned them. Because they are basically the entire reason for one death leaving. So they need to be mentioned, since they’re the entire topic of conversation whether you recognize it or not.

Backups are beside the point, and the choices you make to need that, is the real issue…

You can easily spawn another vehicle and play for the win rather than bailing out to go to the next without care as to the win…

Odl is taking up a slot that someone with a full line up could be playing, thats my view on it

You can also just burn your SP out by spawning a low BR plane then landing, which you have the SP for clearly.

This means you will have no SP to spawn and maybe only the plane slot will be locked. Next match use a spare slot for another plane and repeat if needed.

Not condining 1 vehicle play as it has ruined WT along with many other player related attitudes, but that is a solution

This contribution was about ODL but I got the advice it is a bit OT due to the fact it is more about 1 tank lineups. So nothin to see here ;-)

Agree with you, enforcing multi-vehicle line-up by punishment is not necessary now with the new repairs time-based. And also it may be increasing queuing time for everyone, not sure if that is significant.

This is actually a 1 vehicle lineup topic, and ofc this produces a 1DL possibility if they are knocked out and no Backup is used.

No need to go into the 1DL discussion as I think people have already fallen into that trap. If people do not want to help the OP then silence is enough.

Though the person you are replying to does not currently play, and therefore know, RB. AB is quite different.

I totally agree with the OP.
We live in an era where everybody thinks they have the right to punish you and control your life.Censorship all around and lifelong bans on Youtube,Facebook,Twitter, you name it.I don’t play this game to be treated like a child.
Gaijin fails to understand psychology with crew lock.If you quit after one death its most likely rage quit which means you are already pissed at the game so a cew lock may well see the player turn WT off and go elsewhere. So they are no playing WT which is bad news for Gaijin.

If you only have one line up then its the same as the server going down for 5 minutes ,imagine the uproar if that happend? If Gaijin wants people to play then why crew lock its players and physically stop them participating?
Secondly with a new update comes the same old set of bugs.Im getting kicked from games again and to add insult to injury then getting crew locked. So I just turn off in disgust maybe for a day or maybe for a month.
I actually love WT but Gajin just strain the relationship in every way possible.

Thx for the advice. Sry about that. It felt like it is for me. I will edit my post.

This is really dismissive of the team in general… In the same sense that you want to play in this manner, others are…

So it compounds and it becomes ‘everyone’ not listening or looking for teammates…

But then when you do actually call out, and some listen, then you find a good team.

And that only happens if you actually try, which this mentality is what drives the losses and the problems for people who are actually trying and playing the longer game.

No matter if you think you’re doing bad, it’s not always going to be the case, so stop bailing on teams.

Would love to dive into avoidance tactics but this would go deep into a rabbit hole of childhood emotions.

I actually agree but if we are all a team then why does Gaijin and all its followers fixate on individual stats? You only really get rewarded for the amount of kills you get as an individual.I have been the team player many times.Holding back defending a cap ,scouting, repairing. You get next to nothing for it from Gajin so why worry so much when people leave?

I actually think a player does themself a disservice by quitting early but I guess spending 5 minutes driving half way across the map in a Churchill only to be smashed upon arrival by a Tiger a BR above you is just too much to bear for some and whose fault is it when that happens? One long-term issue is responsible for another, same old story.

With the BR changes you are having issue with, they are based on the vehicles overall performance.

The only ones who fixate on thier KDR/Winrate are players who are thinking this is like CoD or something which is round based, hence why the ODLs start appearing.

The overall sense though, is that the match isn’t predicted or defined, so it can be clutched… I’ve had many matches where we’ve turned it around at the last minute to hang on and win. It’s just so much better when you actually do.

Also, try spawning your lower BR things first, THEN crank out the higher BR vehicle to back it up. In Air AB I suggest this as a common tactic because the first plane is going to end up shot down, or even rammed…

Totally agree with the above and I have had many a shocking start become an all time best but my point is that the game is set up fundamentally to be about the individual.Gaijin could make your kills irrelevant and make winning the only way to earn but they dont and cant because so much other stuff like Battle Pass is solo kill related.Essentially you are on your own in this game no matter how much Gaijin my try to dress it up and no matter how social minded some of us are.

I just took a look … I bring 5 tanks in each battle but I use only an average of 2.76. So it is quite good to have a choice. Because I can choose my tank according to the map and situation which appears. I always got a light tank for early scouting, SPAA (most times my 2nd “tank”). and my 3rd tank is mostly the one which I play where I can turn a match around.
So you’re right. Most battles that turned around are those where players spam there entire lineup on the battlefield.
To the “on our own” thing.
I note that teamplay comes most the times later in battle when it (in germany we say: Wenn es um die Wurst geht - when it comes to the sausage)
The team who starts to work together wins often. How often I got run over by two or three tanks while my whole team sits around a red cap and does nothing. Even if you try to point out that in the battle you get laughed at sometimes. But this is the toxicity of modern times.
Yes it is kinda luck to get some teamplay.
And as Bovey said you can play and support like hell and get nothing from it. But at least you tried. And this makes you even a better player then others who don’t even think about those things.
And I always like people to tend to try instead of avoid.
What helped me the most was one easy thing.

STOP worry about the grind. STOP to grind. My (yes my, there is no need that this must be yours) motivation in this game is to play as good as I can and to get better.
It is funny when I unlock a new tank and I even don’t play those tanks for weeks just because I want to get better first on the tanks I play now. After 4000 battles I got 380 vehicles unlocked. That is almost 1 vehicle in 10 battles.

Gotta find an end now … think about your motivation in the game. Why does a crew lock bother you if there is a solution. You don’t like the solution? Why not? Just think about why avoiding certain things makes you think it helps you.

You think it’s because Gaijin cares about anything other than their statistics, formulas and metrics? They are only concerned about whatever their data is suggesting, vehicle performance is balanced by vehicle lifetime and earnings, RP gain is balanced by vehicle acquisition rates, you think crew lock just happens to exist because they care about people leaving their game? Maybe they could fix the things that makes people leave, yet they never have and never will so seems unlikely that it’s why crew lock exists.

Not to mention of course it SPECIFICALLY EXCLUDES those who ODL with a single vehicle, so crew lock makes an exception to the worst abusers as those people pay money.

Crew lock existing to limit your progression by outright locking you to a single game per 10 minutes per nation is way more in line with Gaijin’s way of doing business, either you play for 10 minutes and you hit the RP cap that used to not go beyond 10 minutes, or you leave the game and get crew locked for the duration of that match, either way you’re not earning more than what they want.

I was on a game in Stalingrad where everybody just happened to play as a team and we absolutely steam rollered the opposition in record time.We drew a line across the entire field and ploughed into their spawn together.Brilliant to be part of.Shame it is so rare but mental positivity is certainly key.
With Crew lock Gaijin actually prevent you playing WT which is odd. What do you do ? Put Fallout or Skyrim on ? Why logically prevent your customers from playing the game?

For me crew lock is not a real issue because it happens really rare and if I tend to switch to other nations anyway every 5-6 battles. It can be an issue if you just got one nation unlocked. Could be overcome if players start to play two nations simultaneous.
And sometimes it helps even to take a brake and come back with a clear mind.
And you said something important. The mindset is so important. If you start a battle with the expectations it will be bad it will be bad. The human brain tends to look for the negative things. I think this has to do with evolution so we can get better but somehow people tend in modern society to avoid instead of adapt.
So and as I write this the snow fell of my roof and there is no way to avoid that I need to go out now and clean that mess xD
Guys for me it is always important to say that I understand the reasons why players tend to specific behaviour and that I can accept it. But I also got the specific behaviour to analyse it and come up with solutions (which most don’t like) ^^ Hope we can all find some things we got in common then what divides us.
Who wants a F117? ^^
