So, I’ve literally noticed today that even with a crew lock on a line up, you are still bound to the Higher BR despite having a Lower BR tank Available.!
In my opinion, when a crew lock occurs, the BR for match making should default to the Highest/Lowest available BR vehicle in your line up otherwise, should one decide to actually play said match, you are potentially 2 BRs in a full up tier.
Has this ever been discussed? Ive looked but only ever “Remove Crew locks”
I agree with you. If you have vehicles crew locked it’s not like you can spawn them into a game you entered. In your case you are only playing a 5.3 vehicle, without access to the 6.0 vehicle I see no reason for the BR to stay at 6.0
Of course you can, but only with the vehicles which are not locked. And when leavers get the crew lock I see no reason to give them help with BR decrease for the locked vehicles
Huh. I never knew you could take only part of a line up. Of course most of my crewlocks come from faceplanting in ARB, so…
Anyway, I tested it and found the opposite behavior. I got a BR of the valid vehicles not the locked ones.
Those vehicles are not only crew locked but also are not repaired since you have auto repair turned off. Even if you did not have them crew locked this would happen as you cannot take destroyed/damaged vehicles into a battle.
Only the SU is damaged since I bailed out of a game to test the crew lock. It gave me the option to repair or not. Pic is after I refused repair. but it is still showing 2.0 on the upper BR, but in the actual queue its showing as 1.0. So its a bug any way you split it. Gaijin will get to it around 2030 no doubt.
That is most probably a visual bug. When I have experienced crew locks, the matchmaking BR has always been automatically adjusted to account only for available vehicles. Do you have evidence of joining a match with a higher BR than possible from the available vehicles?
