OK FIRST WARTHUNDER DEVELOPERS… you think youre making a realistic fun game… YOU NOT ITS SAD HOW STUPID THIS GAME IS AND THE MECHANICS YOU’VE CREATED…
FIRST ISSUE: If your tank DRIVER IS NOT DEAD OR WOUNDED THE TANK IS ABLE TO MOVE AND BE DRIVEN… INSTEAD you insist that if theres no turret crew apparently the tank is no longer able to drive.
DID YOU NEVER PAY ATTENTION IN HISTORY CLASS?
SECOND ISSUE: RUSSIAN T64 ALL THE WAY TO THE T-80UD ARE NOT FREAKING INVINCIBLE…
i dont know many time ive shot any of the Russian high BR tanks in the gun nothing happens, turret mantlet, nothing happen, turret rings, nothing happens, driver hatches, no penetration. IVE SENT APFSDS STRAIGHT DOWN THE BARREL NOTHING HAPPENS… RUSSIAN TANKS ARE INVINCIBLE STOP MAKING THEM SO… the sadest thing is if you watch videos and news reels of russian tank having the turret blown 200 feet in the air from a rocket but yet a solid armor peircing dart does nothing… CHECK YOUR PROGRAMMING
Don’t think that’s ever happened unless you either
A. lose your driver who happens to be in the turret (MBT-70)
B. Lose your engine/transmission/tracks
C. Either put out fires or fix your tank immediately after being shot
What kind of history classes were you taking? I’m jealous, wish we had one about tanks
I mean there’s an argument to be had for that, where you can go to a point and get more crew if you have it unlocked, or certain tanks like the HSTV-L can theoretically function off of 1 crew member (commander can gun, both driver and gunner can do each others jobs without moving) but that’s a really niche feature
Lower front plate is a common weakspot, so is the driver’s hatch, sometimes the breech or roof if you’re feeling lucky. Side on is just center mass, and they’re pretty weak if angled at all
yes if these parts are broken yes i understand loss of function but if all that is in order and the turret is the only damged part then the should be at least in drivable function.
when it came to learning war history we covered a lot of what tanks could do and what role they played for battlefields in school and many war docs over the years ive studied tank history and what theyre weaknesses are and what thyre strengths are.
They used to have that mechanic a long long time ago, though a bit more extensive than what you’re describing. The last crew member would be able to move around the tank filling different positions. I think it was removed because people hated playing whack-a-mole against that last surviving crew member. Apparently ammo rack explosions didn’t work properly back then either, which made it extra annoying.
Here’s a video from 2016 showing the mechanic, from the 6:55 point onwards:
