The AV-8A and AV-8C should be able to carry 1,250 normal size CM….

Yeah maybe like 100+ but we are taking over 100+ more counter measures well the American one is still able to use American made BOL pods which is a stupid part because every nation in every aircraft that could get them should get them

Yeah like I understand if we have like -200 less becuase of balancing but over 1000 is unreal.
The BOL pods on the F-14 which were called LAU-138 were only ever mounted on the F-14 (the specific model of BOL is BOL-304/305)
The BOL pods mounted on the finnish hornet are of the model BOL-500 (the same as on the gripen, eurofighter typhoon and F-15’s).

I think he was implying the point that something was tested and something is used now. I’ve looked more into it but the american hornet needs to still get its BOL.
on this whole CM pods thing. why is F-16 the only one that uses PIDS instead of BOL? does something makes F-16 incompatible with BOL or is Therma and SAAB made a deal to not touch each other lane?
No it’s not that I just don’t have enough info to prove it for the F-15E and F/A-18 yet so I won’t post it to prevent embarrassing myself.
I believe it’s the first. That, or since Terma has been established with many countries including US for F-16, they never felt any need for BOL
