Countering F-5 in J-7D

I don’t understand how am I supposed to fight F-5 in J-7D. I know J-7D is a fast missile bus compared to F-5 but sometimes I feel like J-7D just cannot compete with F-5 both in turn and acceleration. I always get 3rd partied by this dingus and they somehow just felt so untouchable for me as I felt their player have MAW in their brain fed from the client itself.

j7d has better acceleration, better top speed(in can reach when flying straight) and has better missiles…
f5´s only have a broken with the energy retention, bc it practically doesnt lose speed while turning quite hard at 1000kmh. just dont lose speed and the 3rd party thing isnt a thing…

the f5a/c has like 1 of the worst accelerations it is more or less stuck at the airfield between a10´s and su25´s…

Use PL-7s if you are forced into a close range fight, and jus boom and zoom them. At long range, launch a Pl-5B that they won’t be able to see.

It doesn’t help that they have a ridiculously low heat signature despite having 2 afterburning jet engines.

Their energy retention isn’t all that, not that hard to get them slow

It seems like the F-5 are just aware of their surroundings, if you did as well you will find it easier to avoid getting 3rd partied

If they’re actively dogfighting you, get on their tail at about 0.8-0.4km out, lead as far ahead as you can and launch a PL-7 at them. If they don’t flare immediately they’re dead. Works almost every time against almost any plane.

most of the time f5´s are slower and do not create a furball like the j7d´s do…, I cant say how broken the j7d is, bc I havent played it. I only know its should be only slightly worse than a j7e(11.3 somehow) bc the j7e does not bleed as much energy while turning with a weaker engine…

pl7 is worse than pl5b…
pl5b is like the r27er of the SAHR missiles, its the fastest… and performs good

J-7D should be 11.0 tbh, they are hell to fight against

if j7e is 11.3 it should be 11.3 aswell

The J-7E is considerably better in several ways, so the J-7D should be 11.0.

The J-7D shouldn’t be 11.3 when it’s at best on par with a Mig-21bis.

PL-7s are very good at close ranges, and it’s the one area they beat the Pl-5B in.

it is better in dogfights, but missile wise it is the same… and the 60 shots you get in the j7e arent that forgiving…

If I remember correctly the pl7 can pull 5G more but has less acceleration…

The PL-7 is significantly better at turning, it’s the rear aspect version of the R-73. Both the PL-7 and PL-5B have their own usages, that’s why I carry 2 of both.

the pl5b has more range, so I would choose this missile, but both missiles acceleration do have a good acceleration. and you should compare it to the magic1 bc it has the same stats and does not have thrust vectoring

The PL-7 is quite literally a Magic 1, but it has the best turn performance of rear aspect IR missiles. Which is why I compared it to the R-73 as that has the best turn performance of the IRCCM missiles.

The F5 is under tiered with its current performance, which is overperforming based some pretty inaccurate soviet observations. Its also too cold to you cant IR lock it until you’re super close which is flat out wrong
