No don’t feel bad you should be pretty evenly matched against the F-5 in more regards but the F-5 over performs quite a lot.
it is overperforming due to its bs flightmodel, but you cant put it higher, bc it has not the armament. most kills happen with the gun and most of the gun kills are won headons…

fix the flight model and it wont need to go up in BR

early f5´s are probably the vehicles I perform the best(behind j7e) at rank7…
here my stats(isnt that telling bc (mig23mf was meta back then, the f104 was played before they canged the radar, and the f4ej was played before the br decompression…, so take them with a grain of salt)

I perform best in the mk24 spit as it’s the best of its BR by a similarly large margin.

I dislike this br range, but playing the j6k1(prob the 2nd best prop after the spitfire) in a downtier(5.7-6.7) is nice.

It’s somewhat debatable.
While the PL-7 does get 35G maximum G-overload (instead of 30G with the PL-5B), the PL-5B actually has a quicker proxy activation time, and a larger proximity range, so it will more likely hit the intended target.
PL-7 is generally better for 2-circles, while PL-5B is better for everything else.
