As topic. Could we have Tornado Assta 3 so that Germany could access to JDAMs or maybe with 9M on it？It wouldnt help much in CAS but it still help ok？Oh, btw please lower the BR of Assta 1, it really isnt worth the 11.3 with just 2 non irccm AAM. Thanks

Would be Aim-9Li not 9M for the German and Italian “late” Tornado IDS.
Otherwise, yeah, strange they’ve not come this update so far. (but atleast the ASSTA1 is getting the JDAMs)
And yeah, GR1, ASSTA1 and A200A should either get IRCCM or move down, stupid they are 11.7 without just cause

Sure its 9Li, i forgot about it. But sad thing is ids ASSTA 1 in Germany doesnt have JDAM TILL now

The ASSTA 2 upgrade began in 2005, the Tornado is being replaced in part by the Eurofighter Typhoon.
The ASSTA 3 upgrade program, started in 2008, will introduce support for the laser-targeted Joint Direct Attack Munition along with further software changes.
So if we are not ready for EF, then the assistance of ASSTA 3 is very make sense

As the ASSTA1 is getting the JDAMs and and dont think there is any other differences except AAMs I doubt Germany is ever getting the ASSTA3
If you add on the fact that its been confirmed the GR1 never got Mk103 engines because that upgrade was always planned to come with the GR4. So as the ASSTA1 has the Mk103 engines, its possible the ASSTA3 might never be planned either

LJDAM has been tested on both the assta (basic version) of the WTD61 regiment and on the 3.0 and later 3.1 as the main armament system.

It’s not an either-or, there’s no reason to not have both. Especially as the ICE would be much more of a fighter than the Tornado IDS- far less air-to-ground ordinance but much better flight performance

Hopefully this means we eventually will get the full ASSTA 3 upgrade in the future, or even right now if they use the extra time they have with delays (copium)
A “full blown ASSTA 3” right now would just be a copy of the ASSTA 1 but with added LJDAMs and 9Lis at a higher BR in both gamemodes.

Never said I had a problem with it. Just saying it because enough people just copy the wiki list with weapons it used, and I’m never sure if they actually think that those weapons would be added anytime soon.
Even just more Paveways and 9L(I)s would be very beneficial, plus its historical significance.
Plus the ASSTA3 tested a bunch of weapons for the cancelled ASSTA4 upgrade including Brimstones and even AMRAAMs, so that’s another really interesting version that we could see.
But in general I despise the laziness of Gaijin Frankensteining together models of aircraft, first the abomination of the “Su-24M2” and now this is unacceptable.
