My understanding, which is admittingly limited, is that Russian weapons are designed to be very modular and warheads, motors, guidance packages etc are fairly simple to interchange based on mission requirements.

And who and what vehicles would be equipped with that smoke ?
We don’t have those in the game so it’d have to be implemented anyways.

i also wanna add that russian tend to be more free to make custom made missile just for you than like other countrys.

while others have 1 variant of a missile to sell, russian can make 20 different variant for different customer.

Not to mention how planes with IR Brimstones would either need to get their carry amounts artificially limited or be increased in BR.

Anything that uses 66mm NATO spec. smoke grenades would work since technical capability is all that is required. And the others could get it via gaming convention assuming that a counterpart for Eastern designs couldn’t be turned up

Not really, MMW seekers could simply be approximated under the hood by modeling them as IIR Seekers, with a reduced lock on range in the interim since the only changes would be to smoke grenade properties.

And eventually all it would need is it’s own set of unique bands to be “properly” implemented

MMW is like IIR but can see through clouds smoke ETC. anything radar can see through
