Could the brimstones be changed as IR F&F?

Brimestones got forced into the game in a nerfed/fake state because people kept demanding they be added.

The current brimestones are fake and should of never been added in their current form.

This goes the same for a lot of newer stuff. People keep begging and demanding it gets added and go “just nerf it so it wont be op” because all they care about is seeing the model and name in the game.

Kh-38MT is in game in the state its in so there is no reason to have unnerfed brimstones

These are different people

I remember being dog piled for suggesting the Kh-29 with the IR seeker be added to fill the Russian IR missile gap pre Kh-38MT…
I also remember pointing out that modeling autoloaders, given the already existing track record of modules eating rounds and spall, might actually increase survivability… and shocker got dog piled by people accusing me of “Russian main just wants to keep Russian tanks OP”…
many people have ZERO ability to think through the effects of the things they want and ZERO ability to recognize their own hypocrisy

Just so people know, the actual state of the kh-38MT evidence :

Multiple photographs of the mockup at various trade shows, also photos of the mockup at the workshop where it was built.

A grainy photo on a marketing brochure from an arms show which has missiles on the wings where the seeker head etc looks identical to the mockups - including the opaque seeker head.

The same marketing brochure has the specs they wanted to achieve, and it turns out its entire ir capability is basically limited to tracking buildings and ships on a good day. The proposed sensor just isn’t capable of anything else. There is an argument to be made that the camera is simply for terminal guidance to its target like what happens on the storm shadow.

That’s it. That’s the entirety of the evidence on the kh-38MT and gaijin managed to make a missile which tracks tanks from 12+km away from it.

There have been many arguments, including gaijin have access to secret information (without realising how utterly disastrous that coming out would be for gaijin) and a particularly amusing one of a license to include a weapon in game means they get acutal specs of the weapon.

Im stating that many people who beg for the newer stuff only care for the model/name being in the game.

Of course not everyone is that. Some want it to come into the game op because they just care about “my nation #1 op in top tier :D”

Good thing ground based IR missiles were a thing long before SLM came to the game.

mmW wasn’t a thing that’s implemented into the game for reasons specified.
IR seekers existed for a long time at the time of Hammer’s introduction.

better close look at a real ir seeker for the kh38. it was promoted with the fab500tv seeker next to it but i dont have the full picture

Being this obsessed is unhealthy.

You must be an FC Chelsea fan with your positive attitude towards missing points

This forum is a treasure trove of people that have opinions that’ll actually hurt them in the end.

Yes, point was missed when saying Brimstone being guided with a Laser is completely realistic, but being guided with IR isn’t.

The SAL Brimstones are accurate as is, but they should get a self guided variant like IRL, similar to the IR JAGM iirc.

It’s a mockup :)

And it’s not mounted to a missile body, nor what was hung off an aircraft in the brochure images.

For example;

A-4E & Walleye II -IIR

Isn’t enough to get an IIR Walleye added to the game; let alone to the F/A-18C so as to why so many airframes have access to the -38T makes no sense, considering existing precedent.

Or

The GPU-5/A to Non-15E Eagles even though its supported by much more documentation than the -38T.

F-15 GPU-5A

GPU-5/A 30 mm Gunpod for the F-15

“The attached videos and photos show the F-15B-4-MC aircraft with tail number 71-0291, which is the prototype of the F-15E Strike Eagle. This aircraft differs significantly from the single-seat fighter version of the F-15A.”

I like getting in front of people posting misinformation :)

By posting your misinformation.
Good to know.

my point still stand. the only time people saw the ir seeker is in a mock up missile and not the seeker itself.

am i saying the missile exist ? no
am i saying that at least the seeker exist ? yes

Yeah, again, not the point. But at this point im pretty sure youre not even the slightest bit interested in getting the point so im gonna stop bothering you.

There’s no evidence that is anything other than a mockup.

It would be extremely unusual to take an actual functioning seeker head to a trade show.

Facts are not misinformation, quite the opposite.
