Yes, Gaijin already has made up TV fnf mechanic for man-in-the-loop weapons, their excuse that ‘mmw radar is too op and we dont want to implement it in an unrealistic way’ is nonsense since they implement things in an unrealistic way all the time

they arent IR, the Brimstone has MMW radar homing and SAL guidance.
they also arent a niche russian missile so wont see improvement ever
There is a specific mode where the laser designates a target and then the radar takes over towards terminal guidance which would not be beyond what the KH38MT/E for in game performance, however it has the benefit of being a real missile.
Crazy idea: give weapons their irl stuff and stop demanding for fake to be added.

The only thing the IR brimestone demands do is tell gaijin the community is okay is fake stuff.
If you want want IR brimestone, sure. Just dont complain about any other weapons being fake or not performing to irl standards.

They did the exact same thing to the Khrizantema-VMs on the Mi-28NM despite the PARS already being in the game (added the major patch before if I recall correctly).
This is something that’s mind boggling to me.
Forum community jumps from being anti-fake to pro-fake literally from thread to thread, but they also like to call out Gaijin for their own double standards and rule bending regarding fakes.
From what I could tell, fakes are okay until they aren’t for reasons.
“Fake stuff is bad unless it benefits what i want to play”
Its the argument of “they did bad thing so that means i should also be able to do bad thing”

Gaijin please add a fictional feature of a weapon system, we want it.
This fictional vehicle is fine to stay in the game because that’s what I think.

They want to have to moral high ground when it comes to Gaijin’s double standards, but in the end they do the same thing without even realizing it.
Just so were on the same page here. Gaijin adding a completely fake weapon with fake functionality is completely the same to you as people wanting a fake stand in, because Gaijin refuses to add the actual better seeker it has in reality?
Yes, fake is a fake.
Just because this game isn’t ready for, lets say, most modern IR missiles (like IRIS-T) on aircraft, doesn’t mean said aircraft should be getting fakes.
That is, if someone is really against fakes and not applying their double standards wherever they seem fit.
@MotorolaCRO @markimash this whole issue wouldn’t be a thing if Gaijin were to backtrack and just remove the KH38MT. It has no equal.
Since the primary guidance mode (MMW) has been denied by Gaijin, which is one of the more common guidance modes for western missiles outside of laser and GNSS, this has created an imbalance with issues we are already seeing right now. For example Japan receiving the malaysian Su30 with KH38MTs and the taiwanese and indonesian Guardians with the JAGMs even though those countries havent even adopted them yet.
We are effectively at the end when it comes to IR homing anti tank weapons aside from a couple of glide bombs and this issue will persist unless equally fake missiles like the AT ASRAAM gets added.
This is a spiral which you can’t get out of and the mildest alternative would be to give the Brimstone some type of FNF abilities. I would rather not have this issue but here we are.

Cant get out of because the community has decided to support adding fake weapons to the game.
Im still in the camp of “remove the kh38t”.
