Coud the brimstone be balenced and fire and forget?

the brimstone can’t be fire and forget on the game, but what if you carry only 3 or 6 will be fire and forget but if your loudaut have more than 6 or 3 all brimstone gonna have to be laser guided

(why i think this coud work?: most aircraft than have fire and forget have 6missiles, not even in top tier ex:a-10; {su-34 in expecific}; f-4 variants; etc…)

[sorry if have any enlish erro am still learning other language]

Could be fire and forget but Gaijin purposely nerfed it and restricted to the current configuration, I believe this would cause issues just like the Community were opposite to the Grom-1 bombs that could easily take out targets with ease and in larger numbers.

In the case you said, the A-10 as an example uses TV guided missiles, which when lost the visual contact with the target simply fly to the last point it sees the target, it doesn’t change path nor lock into other target, Brimstone could detect new targets if I’m not wrong and on top of that lock into targets behind cover.

They can absolutely do it. and a high number of fire and forget missiles is not a problem as we already have helicopters that can carry 16 spike missiles.
This entire nerf looked more like a fuck you in particular than a balancing thing and I’ve been playing top tier for quite a while and have not once been killed by a brimstone and all the air to ground missiles that have killed me were KH-38MT.
But there’s still some hope to have this nerf removed in next update with the addition of better SPAA vehicles but it’s Gaijin we’re talking about so we can’t be sure of anything.

The issue is not fire and forget. The issue is lock on after launch. With that the Brimstone (and other similar weapons which are not in game such as the Hellfire Longbow or Spike NLOS or Kh-38MA or Kh-25MAE) could be fired completely over the horizon, never within line of sight of any SPAA and therefore completely undetectable, even at the airfield, and fire off all its missiles which would GPS guide to the target area before locking a target and hitting it. Now these systems also lack any sort of IFF, so 50/50 they hit enemy or teammate. And that not even mentioning the missiles that would go for knocked out tanks.
So basically it’d be bad for everyone. For the player with the Brimstones, most of your missiles miss and you get teamkills. For the enemy team, there’s some bugger sniping you from across the map and your SPAA can’t see, let alone shoot them. Finally for the friendly team some idiot is getting teamkill after teamkill as they sit back in a jet instead of helping the team on the ground.

In Sim 2 team kills get you out of the match, i think is the same in GRB.

It would be pretty overpowered. especially with mmw self target aquisition.

however seeing as the KH38MT is in game and OP as hell (and also completely fake) a mode 2 (FnF but you still designate a target) wouldn’t be that much more extreme.

Im just annoyed they added brimstone as a worse maveric, id rather they had never added them instead of making another British thing look like a POS

This is operating purely within the LOAL modes. Both missiles have a LOBL mode of operation which would radically reduce these risks and issues

Also, Brimstone at the very least could ID the target which could be given IFF reasonably easily

So giving planes an anti-air missile that creates a death bubble with radius of like 5-6km should be fine because we already have Type 81 doing just that ?
