Corrupted files/Failed update using gaijin launcher

Ever since the new ‘Tusk’ update I am not able to update the game through its own launcher anymore, every time there seems to be some corrupted file, like this one posted below. And I have to uninstall and install the entire game again to be able to play.

It’s getting frustrating as I litterally did nothing and before ‘Tusk’ update everything worked fine.

I tried to delete the file and the interesting part comes:

  • even after I reboost my computer the file shows being used by gaijin smart Launcher
  • I try to find such process but non exist.

So a “ghost” launcher process is occupying the file? Maybe I am wrong

Try to check your A-V software setting, maybe it’s blocking some game files?

Checked and no log for blocking game files and the entire folder is added into exclusion of antivirus software.

In addition, still cannot delete the same file after uninstall the game and shows used by gaijin smart launcher

BTW, could you please shed some light what is the use of this cache folder “warthunder_yupcache”? So that maybe I could get an idea of what is using it?

I’ve been getting the same thing where the game is about to launch and sometimes it says missing files or leftover files, but there isn’t any. I’ve wiped everything, installed the game on each of my 3 drives uninstalling between each one of course but nothing helped. What I have to do to play now is to uninstall, download the game minimal client, sometimes that will work sometimes not, but if it does work, I can then download the full client and play. No other games are having any issues on my computer. Please help. I love this game and if I have to go through the whole install, uninstall, min client, etc. I do believe I wouldn’t bother. I’m extra angry because I just sunk some more money into this game and didn’t even get to use what I bought yet

what can I do so I don’t have to go through an hour procedure to launch war thunder like it used to be just a short time ago. Thanks
