Constant uptiers (+0.7 to 1.0 BR) and terrible teams – where is the fun in this game?

Hi everyone,

I need to vent and ask if it’s just my terrible luck, or if this is the normal War Thunder experience.

I mainly play Ground Battles, and my matchmaking stats look like a bad joke. Around 95% of my matches are uptiers, where I constantly face players with a BR 0.7 to 1.0 higher than my lineup. It gets even worse once I pass 6.3 – from that point on, literally 100% of my games are full +1.0 BR uptiers. My tanks just can’t compete with what I’m forced to fight against.

On top of that, team matchmaking is a nightmare. My teams routinely fail to capture even a single point. We get completely crushed within the first few minutes of the match and end up spawncamped right away.

Is the matchmaking algorithm really this broken? Where is the balance, fun, or interesting gameplay when every single match feels like a losing battle from the start? How do you guys deal with this?

Unfortunatly thats just the current state of WT, The Devs dont have any love for the game anymore and just seems Gaijin are focusing on making as much money as possible than making the game enjoyable. Over the last year its went downhill in quality a lot and i dont think they care anymore.

For me what ruins it is the matchmaking and horrible inconsistency. As an EU player practically every single game is 90% at least none eu players, from the two playerbases that everyone knows have 200+ ping and well known for cheating or botting. The quality of things added, updates and gameplay just seem to be going downhill after every single update.

and if this is about your Russian tanks then those are great same with your Leo’s upteirs aren’t an excuse your a 1 death leaver and you just have a pure skill problem bro how is a 33% winrate in Germany possible bro this shouldn’t be happening

This X100 OP. Their damage control this past could months has just been slop as well. They don’t even pretend to gaf anymore lol.

matchmaker magically removing all strike planes when I need to shoot down 8 of them for my task, only to materialize 4 million of them the moment I need “Thunderer”

Have you tried reinstalling the game?

also I remember the match we met in…we got speedrun nuked by a BMPT in 9 minutes…fun times I tell you, fun times :)
