Constant connection problems over the last week

You’re not helping anyone at this point. Just move on if you have nothing useful to add.

We’re not software engineer and you can’t expect everyone that report a problem to diagnose it.

Are you referring to the post you made earlier where you said the information was outdated?

After going through this thread and reading most of your responses, you have 2 answers to everyone’s PL issue… it is either because they are on wifi or it is a problem with the route.

Concerning using wifi as the culprit, if the problem was the user’s wireless network, then they should have issues with any game that requires a fast, steady exchange of data. But if someone is having issues in game here and runs a packet loss test (while on their wireless network) and the result is 0% then it is likely not the wifi. Wifi was not suitable for gaming back in the 802.11 b/g days or even current protocols if using a 2.4GHz network. Using Wifi 6 or 7 protocols can achieve acceptable and reliable results.

Concerning the route being the issue, the average player/user is most likely not going to know how to diagnose the issue much less fix it. As end users, we have control over limited pieces of the puzzle, i.e. our own computer, our home network, and who our ISP is. Anything beyond that is out of our control, so in our minds if one of those things isn’t the problem then it must be an issue on the other end. Unless we can tell the data to use a different route. And if that’s the case, please inform me how.

People see it as “If the problem is not client side, then it must be server side.”

From the beginning of this thread your responses have been: condescending toward users with a problem who came here looking for answers and/or help; discrediting users who are providing information about what they have experienced and their best guess as to what could be causing the problem; and just all around confrontational and inflammatory. Unless you can contribute helpful and constructive ideas, please stop “attacking” other users.

Just make sure someone filled a bug report on the community site so the devs get the word out.
Im assuming at this point the provider in the USA for the servers have a little hickup.

I did my best guess at what the server is. If that information is outdated, that’s on FlyingDoctor. From what I’ve gathered, it’s the company that Gaijin leases the servers from that is having issues. So it is server side. I’ve submitted a support ticket.

Same. Ping 100+ but PL 0 and no lag. And again, no active complaint threads about EU lag I can find anywhere, which should be taken as indicative.

All this “don’t y’all know the internet is just a series of toobs” trolling COULD be worth reading… If you just joined the community yesterday and didn’t know that the NA server has long been under-resourced relative to EU, that Gaijin on a couple occasions has had to admit as much in the context of lag storm behavior like this in the past (which always tends to correlate with times of heavier player load, big surprise there), and that all key tournaments in eSports are run on EU, not because of community interest but in large part because of those core reliability issues.

NA players are forced to accept a quality of service that Gaijin would never have let their EU player base suffer with for as long. Basically their NA servers just aren’t as good and apologizing on their behalf just reduces any pressure on Gaijin to ever change that. And, frankly, it’s anti-player behavior to do so and should be called out as such.

My Buddy that lives in Canada and I live in Michigan, we play every Friday/Saturday night, we both have been experiencing this same PL at the same time intermittently. We don’t have any issues with voice using Discord or any other PL symptoms. And it only started happening recently, and was really bad 1/17/25 and 1/18/25 nights.

NA, central Canada, been experiencing issues and have wasted many of my unused end-of-battlepass boosters because of it. Glad to see a forum post about it, many in the game chat have been experiencing similar issues.

Is this still the case? It appears to be a widespread issue.

Yea I have never had server/connection issues on the game but lately it’s been borderline unplayable. I’m a ground main so fast reaction time is needed especially in top tier but when i shoot someone and it just goes straight through them or takes like 5 seconds for it to register, (and by then I’m already dead to the person) I just crash out.

It is Gaijin’s servers. I am not uploading anymore diagnostics. Packet loss is at ridiculous levels. Something in the last rushed major update is crushing the servers. Sick of Gaijin and others ignoring this problem…no “registered” issues server side. Look harder then. Your game requires good servers and Gaijin ignoring this clearly widespread issue is not getting it done.

You’re the only one being confrontational as you were the one who came in talking about what others had said, making it clear you had a target in the first instance…

So you don’t want to admit that you ignored what I said, intentionally, and only took on board what Bruce said, to find it correct…

So you used ChatGPT to make your ‘report’ for you, and submitted it to support, and didn’t get a response…

I can imagine why, and I’m pretty sure I’d be correct.

I was tied up with people trying to deny what I said, and making attacks based on what you’d heard from disgruntled others.

If people actually submitted correct reports with evidence rather than just saying it’s broken and not working, then MAYBE you’d get some better results…

Currently, MANY on the forums here just say things are broken, and don’t show how it is, or even do a simple diagnosis on thier end.

It’s not on Gaijin to check things you can’t show as not everyone is being affected, and thus it’s not definitively Gaijins servers.

I have submitted endless reports, diagnostics, etc. Honestly, quite tired of it. So, I have repeatedly done my part friend. Also, you are in no position at all to assess that it is definitely not their servers…it definitely can be. Server-related issues do not have to impact everyone…you know that right?!

You, as everyone in here is also doing, are ignoring the factor of routing…

I don’t have issue with the servers, and have been playing solely on the US servers.

This means it IS a routing issue more likely than the servers themselves…

To have the sources of these reports being the upper North America and Canada, seems to point to a very distinct issue, which has been mentioned a lot, and ignored.

With this many users reporting issues (forum, reddit, in game, YouTube videos).

It’s not a small percentage of the player base at this point.

Like all other dev studios would do, start an investigation in why this issue has started. In the end they are the ones who can truely see everything.

There’s only so much submitting a support ticket does. We all have done to our best abilities (we aren’t into the “craft” as you are). We are players, not devs.

There has been many mentions of EU players having the same issue with the EU servers.

It’s no longer just NA.

You don’t need to be a dev to actually read and consider what’s said…

That’s where you all are being all dogging on me, compared to actually taking on board what’s been said.

This is so common in game because when you say it could be the route, EVERYONE instantly rages and makes out it’s the servers…

And the same situation can be playing out over there… SA servers are reknowned for having the same issue.

Just stop ignoring and trying to aregue with me, because you are definitively out of your league, and everyone just strains to claim that it’s the servers or gaijin ALL the time because that’s all they can think it is.

So if you’re going to come to a forum to converse, then converse, don’t be fixated on your own opinion, especially when you’re being handed knowledge and advice.

You just don’t want to take it, and that’s no-one elses issue but your own.
