Constant connection problems over the last week

was just in a game and was going fine. then half way packet loss went over 60. and tank just started spinning in a circle then got bad connection. then game ended due to mission abort requested by the anti cheat system. reason client not responding.

next game packet loss is in the red at 24-35

edit next game. half way through game ended due to mission abort requested by the anti cheat system. reason client not responding.

edit more games. now getting query timeouts through easy anti cheat.

another edit. after a few more games. i finally didn’t get kicked due to the anti cheat issue. now just back to bad packet loss pulling me in random directions.

and other players in the game were getting pl too.

edit. changed regions from SA to EU and NA and I only get an occasional 1-3 packet loss but not very often.

  1. Try to change your servers (EU is often more reliable than NA).
  2. Play at different times (if it’s an NA evening load issue as it seems to be, well, there’s your answer).
  3. Complain.
  4. Play other games until it gets better.

(and yeah, it was pretty terrible again last night on NA, east coast evening hours, lots of complaints in chat).

Switched exclusively to EU and it’s much better. There’s still a bit of packet loss on EU servers but nowhere as bad as NA and SA. Thanks! Still have to deal with the increased queue times but it beats crashing a few mins into a match

The problem absolutely is on the server side mostly on US and SA. I’ve done every possible check I can on my own connection and it’s fine. I used battl3commander’s suggestion to switch to EU exclusively and there’s a noticeable improvement. This isn’t a permanent solution since queue times are higher

Experiencing lag right now. West Coast. My son is playing a different game on his pc and his game is running smoothly but WT is a mess. Something is happening and it’s not on my end.

Every game i play right now are just me crashing into the ground or my tank flying in the air, its not my ping since its at 90 but the packet loss. My Packet loss is always 60% every game i play

Checking in as well, on US servers (I live in southeast us, have good hardware/ethernet connection/1gig internet speed) since the most recent wipe I’m having 20-30% once or twice almost every single match. Never had a problem in 10 years of playing. I cannot wait for them to resolve this. It’s made the past 2 weeks horrible

Ditto. West Coast. Lag is intense. I was experiencing issues in Ground RB yesterday and now Air RB today. It’s ruining my matches, wasting my boosters and locking me out.

Today, Air RB:

Yesterday, Plane in Ground RB:

Switched to EU because another us player said to do that on reddit, first 3 games all had no packet loss. This is the temporary fix for us I guess. Honestly so glad I looked this up, had tried everything from changing hardware, calling my ISP, etc. thinking it had to be on my end. Cannot believe it’s been server side issues this whole time.

Been noticing this over the last week or two.

It’s almost guaranteed to spike packet loss every game leading to CREWLOCK

Ok that gave me motion sickness 🤢🤮
That sucks dude.
I play GFAB pretty much. Lag spikes every time I have a enemy in my sights so I miss the kill and or I teleport right into their sights and I’m dead. ☠️
Thought the. EU servers would be more difficult to play on but at this point I can’t really see it getting any worse. 😁

When did you start having those issues though, as that sense of thinking, makes you prone to assuming that everything is that issue.

As I said earlier, and was mistook by a few, routes are a thing on the internet.

And things need to be reported, but also diagnosed correctly, rather than the blind assumption that it’s the game or the servers themselves.

Assumption? Nah its an actual issue rn ive play alot of match n there are people complaining and rage quitting and almost every complain came from NA server

Indeed they are complaining, but they are assuming it’s the servers not the route…

You’re assuming it because you did no true testing now, did you…

I see why your name is flying doctor

Enlighten me then, because I have no idea what the actual heck you are on about, but I can assure you that your assumption that it’s the servers is incorrect…

The ROUTE is more likely the issue compared to the servers themselves, and whilst you can find a group of players having issues on the server, I can categorically say that at 200 ping, I’m not getting it, and it’s most likely because I don’t share the same route as you.

The fact that sections of the states likely have outages at any given time and that the internet is a series of tubes, it can EASILY not be Gaijins issue.

So enlighten me what my name even has to do with your trouble accepting true knowledge?

Instead of wasting everyone’s time trying to convince us we’re wrong, why don’t you use your superior knowledge and tell us how the problem with the “routes” can be fixed by us and if they are the problem, why we’re the ones who need to be looking into it and not gaijin’s or their contracted network engineers? As a customer what makes you think investigating network issues in depth falls within our scope? Considering that quite a few people here including me have found that switching to EU servers results in a better experience, why isn’t that enough for gaijin to take over and start looking into it themselves?

Why I suspect it’s on GJ’s end is b/c nothing else re: my internet has been affected. I’ve been surfing, streaming, video conferencing, playing other MMOs - not any indication of issues with anything other than WT.

Instead you are wasting my time by ignoring the point and liking a comment that was going on about the router and not routes…

You do need to diagnose and one of the methods is using tracert to find the faulty node in the hops on the route.

And this doesn’t mean that nothing is wrong with the upstream nodes and routes… I’m sorry, but just because you can browse, and play other games isn’t a worthy metric to make any assumption about it being the servers.

Yes, a better metric would be looking at how long the matching forum thread about problems on the EU server is compared to this one about the NA server is at present and compare the number of complainers currently. Oh. Wait.
