Getting full uptiers at 6.7 only having to fly 14km is extremely stupid. Considering the top BRs have moved up considerably. Considering higher tier performance jets do not exist until around 8.7 it would be more considerate to a playerbase to move the spawn point closer until a higher BR is reached. 8.7 would be a more considerate BR placement for far spawns
Or just have it based BR for BR, doesn’t matter the “Map BR” or map layout, but spawns distance based on the rank or BR of the vehicle.
If they had a “prop” spawn it would make more sense.
It’s not just ground, Air AB spawns are way too far back and all that these spawn positions currently do is prolong the time it takes players to get to the action, which does only one thing . . . hinders players ability to score points. That’s it . .
The entire spawning system in the whole game has been in need of an overhaul since tanks were put into the game.
No map should have a single spawn point per side, a minimum of two is badly needed(especially in air)
In ground maps, they should add at least one or two different “set ups” to each current map. New spawn points and capture point positions. This would add a great deal of variety, freshen up the game considerably and be far easier to do than making entirely new maps . … that again, only have ONE variation to them.
Remove the enemy spawn point markers from the mini map, only show friendly spawning areas. This will not eliminate spawn camping, but could however require players to actually do “recon” to search for them, rather than just making a beeline to spawns, avoiding playing the objectives. This is a major flaw with the current spawning system.
The addition of “secondary” spawn points, or “progressive” spawning with new spawn areas popping up as the game goes on would also be helpful. Requiring that cap points be taken, bases bombed or ground targets destroyed for them to appear in some fashion would also encourage playing the objectives and lessen time for players to get back in the action as well as give players alternatives if a spawn point is being camped. Players are penalized already by repair costs, forcing them to return at such great distances is just an additional penalty & and might even cause returning to the hangar by some.
We have far too much “one size fits all” for spawning and prioritizing “All that is top tier” is ok for marketing, kinda meh and so so for content creation but it really hinders game play a great deal when used for maps and spawns.
You make a good and valid point, imho, I think that they put far too many BRs on maps designed for a smaller range of BRs. Too high of rank/tier/BR on many older maps and some that are too low for newer maps.
If they would add some variation to all the maps, the ones currently in the map rotation(s) and to many of the older maps that are currently “mothballed” we would have so many new maps to play, things would take a great while to get stale . . just a thought I have had for a good while. A little work could go a long way if it were applied to spawns and maps in general . . . it is past time to do this kinda stuff . . .
BR limits are needed, because even if the spawn is closer ( 5 km i think) there are radar spaa when uptier.
Using an uptier 6.7 prop flying 15 km just to get down by a Veak it’s kinda pathetic
Please no.
If anything, ground RB needs the air spawns moved FARTHER back and from the runway.
A 4.0 aircraft can fly at 450 km/h under 2km altitude in a straight line. This is a slower-end aircraft (Turnfighters like spits and zeros). A faster plane can hit 550-600 km/h. If they climb over 2K they can go even faster.
Even bombers can easily hit 350-400 km/h at 4.0.
It should not be possible for there to be P-47s and F4U-s dropping bombs a mere 2-3 minutes into the match. Some tanks havn’t even reached the ABC points by then.
Now come on the VEAK is just depressing now.
