it sure does look like so, so best believe that it will be an Israel 2.0 that starts with rank 4 or 5 and focuses on local modernizatios of foreigns. Tho knowing how Gaijin does work, it prolly will have clones up until K1 and Chonma-Ho… But i want to believe :3

Agree, there’s some far more unique options for tech trees, with much more unique stuff. Hell, even India would be more unique. But at the end of the day they’ll do what they want, and people won’t complain because they’ll be too glad to have a new tree

i dont get it. People went to play Realistic battles, where sides werent mixed up and you played against certain techs and it was badass, and now this newbies want to make arcade mixup everywhere :/

VT-4 has more armor than Abrams, and ZTZ-99A has as much.

it was not honestlly. Maybe two or three last years of adding subtrees, especially when they started adding air. Ground subtree for brits was awesome, for italy it was so-so as at very least half vehicles were unique, and for sweden and france they are awfull. Honestly awfull as bring ONLY clones, and maybe a single unique and single upgraded machine…

Its not about better or not, its about uniquiness of the machine. Pretty much if you played the M1 and and M1HC you played on all abramses. And adding one to Taiwan that is pretty much M1A1 is making US tree obsolete
You can play Panzer 3/4, Tiger, Panther, Leo 1, Leo 2 (pretty much all of them) in other trees. Other than that, you left with either cacti on ranks 5 and 6 or the rank 4 and lower vehicles, making pretty much HALF of the grind of a tree useless as you can obtain those or better versions of the tanks in other trees.
Weakspots exist on all tanks.
Where there are no weakspots however…
Granted, according to some, ZTZ-99A is more armored than Abrams because ZTZ-99A has an UFP that can bounce rounds sometimes.
as of my own knowledge realistically the only things left for chinese mbt’s (at least currently) is 99a with gl-6
abram’s is a very competent platform imo, just the players who use it are ass
i would still consider 90m to be slightly better as you can sit back and snipe because of low pen and bad depression so you’re forced to be a brawler, where 90m shines.
tbf it’s meant to fill holes in lineups that the main nation just can’t fill.
although japan i can say without a doubt the thai air subtree is an awful replacement for the r2y2’s cas

i didnt understand the message: is 90m better because can snipe? or is it good because can brawl?
so, it does pretty much not fill the gaps in lineups, rather it creates new lineups that consist of 1 or 2 tanks.
For example:
5.3 of sweden consists of straight up two finnish tanks, 4.0 adds single t-34 and 3.7 consisted of a SINGLE finnish tank before M24DK was added so subtree didnt fill the gap. Swedish 8.0 easilly exists without t-54, as mush as 12.0 without 2a6; 10.7 still consists of TWO leopard 2a4s (wow, unique gameplay here tho, two same leopards huh). The only gaps it fills is 9.3 which practitcally better be ignored and 9.0 which is really needed there.
Same with french subtree that makes 10.7 have a SINGLE tank, and adds two leopards at 12.0 where there are 4 Leclercs.
And all of the techs at those ratings at subtrees are clones. And most funny part is, the only DIFFERENT machine at sweden subtree - the T-55M - really does fill the gap, where clones dont except for t-34 maybe.

Tho the Alpha Jets and the F-5s are great CAS.

Wasn’t there recently evidence the R2Y2 V1 had some construction complete? Imo they should’ve at least kept that. Without copy paste, I’m pretty sure the only other options are a kikka prototype that was solely ground attack and the Ki-201, but it nether flew so it depends how gajin feels (RIP F-111K and Re.2006)
