Community Update No.8: Responses and What’s Coming!

While I have supported your Chilean subtree for Israel in the past, now that greece is on the table I’m going to have to lean towards them, (and i feel bad about this lol) unfortunately they just offer more capability and in the grand scheme of things I want Israel to be a fun and powerful as possible, something that seems only possible through a subtree since gaijin keeps nerfing the Merkavas and withholding buffs.

I feel like Chile has a place in a LATAM tree anyway, with Columbia, Chile, Peru (maybe Brazil), and some other stuff added to flesh that out

@Smin1080p_WT When will the remaining nations get new helicopters with FNF missiles? The MI-28nm makes it impossible to play for teams not aligned with the Russian . We need new helicopter missiles to balance the game. :)

Will there be an option to opt out of the automated Naval damage control?

I don’t really have an issue handling damage control manually and might want the ability to delay repairs on systems I find inessential.

SPIKE ER2 and MOKOPA IR when…

Don’t get it either. How is Greece related to Israel?

Could you elaborate more, what you trying to achieve with this change? Cause now it looks like forced damage control, without ability to manage anything according the situation, that we have now. That will lead to even less survivability to all ships, and for the weak ones that gonna be even worse cause not enabling “Damage Control” their only chance to survive some more and turn the tide of the battle.

I propose to keep selection of priorities and modificators and use them in battles, but also keep manual enabling of separate “Damage Control” mechanics. With that we get - fastest fire extinguishing or folding repairs or gun repairs priorities, but in the same time we still have option to not enable some of them if situation requests - for example i need to repair mu guns or motors, but i don’t care that there is a fire in the tubes or in compartments. That will be way better that forced “Damage Control” that you can’t switch off, what will lead to faster death from crew loss.

Knowing Gaijin, the possible Latin American tree would only be Brazil as the main nation and perhaps Argentina and Chile as secondary ones. If Gaijin would only speak out about Latin America, I’d be more at ease.

It’s nice to have some transparency.

  • Please do not add US vehicles to the China TT
  • Please address the maps. Map size, layers, rotation.
  • Please avoid copy/paste as much as humanly possible, particularly in sub trees

Gaijin has chosen Greece and Cyprus, 2 nations with recent military collaboration with Israel, as a compatible and viable subtree, there isn’t realistically a better place for them collectively without mental gymnastics of severe controversy

Far too late for that…

Yes please

That’s simply not how the Military Industrial Complex and global arms trade works

No CVRT mentions, I am parched once again

Yep. Nothing on the objectively biggest issue in the game. The maps and modes. People will eat this announcement up and cheer and buy premiums while the game will stay in a terrible state.

Assuming this is the Taiwan-US Abrams SEPv3 (M1A2T), will US get it too and finally have DU Armor in the hull? Because if it isn’t then it’s gone be disappointing because it’s just a SEP copy&paste. The SEPv3 has no real “upgrade” over the SEP and SEPv2 because most of it is just electronics and power system that just adds even more weight than the older SEP models with no survivability or mobility upgrade at all.

Honestly all 3 SEP variants can just be foldered under the first SEP cuz the v2 and v3 are just straight up down grade lol

Gaijin might deliberately delay the introduction of these new missiles to extend the game’s lifespan. But regardless, the game has become quite boring now. As soon as the Russian side starts using helicopters, the opposing team immediately exit because no one wants to fight against such a powerful opponent, and then the match just ends.

That’s seems to be the case, nearly every nation in game has provisions for long range FnF helis, but gaijin have delayed the introduction of those in order to have another major update be focused on said helis

If there are absolutely 0 unique/domestic options then sure… but often Gaijin has purposefully chosen copy/paste for expediency.

When possible Gaijin should default to unique options when adding new content.

Yes and no.

I can think of many examples where they added a C&P to a TT instead of a unique option. Some C&P is unavoidable, but most of what we’ve seen so far was 100% avoidable. This is what he means

LIke for example M109 to Britain, Yes Britain operated the M109, but we also operate the AS-90. Another 155mm SPH.

Why is South Korea with North Korea when those two countries are hostile to each other when we can make South Korea a branch of the US and North Korea a branch of China?

They can at least do damage control

No. United Korea is better. Also we have already China and ROC in one tree, which is same situation as Koreas.
