I agree, it makes so much more sense for NK to go to either china or russia (or both) and SK to go to US since they are allied during wartimes. Mixing NK and SK should not be the case.
I find this very interesting but I implore you guys consider simulator ground battles.
Having these nations with mixed western and eastern equipment is very problematic. Please add a matchmaking option for ground sim where you can choose which team to join with nations that have both types of vehicles. For example when playing with germany you could join one team with western vehicles in your lineup or the other team with eastern vehicles from you lineup. This could also be the case with the new Korean tree and otther examples in the game.
This would also help reduce waiting times to join games as eastern teams usually have less players queueing.
So, could future updates potentially add Chinese military export vehicles to Japan’s tech tree?
I agree, but to claim ‘stop copy paste’ is both A. Incorrect, because gaijin has made a game focused on size rather than detail, which means they are prioritising getting as many nations in game as possible, and it’s gone far enough to the point where i can’t oppose it anymore (because there is so much shared tech now)
And B. While sacrificing the timely addition of domestic options is bad, in tbe long run you are getting access to more competitive vehicles for lineups and diversity, which in a META fixated game is a good thing
I am pro-copy paste
GIVE ME MORE CVRTS GAIJIN
I AM READY
GIVE ME THEM ALL
The issue though is that long term, that doesnt always happen. Sometimes the C&P is all we get, meaning native unique options might not ever get added
1- Too late.

China should also get its rightful M1A2T, just as Thailand should get its VT-4.
Also if you don’t want copy-paste, then tell militaries to stop buying export equipment. ;)
And yes, there’s usually no unique sub-tree vehicle for the BR of the copy-paste vehicle. Sometimes there is, and that’s a good folder opportunity.
Outside Hungary, copy-paste is 50% or less of sub-trees.
SEP3 isn’t in the game.
Both see themselves as Korea, and in War Thunder it’s going to be called Korea. Not South/North Korea, just Korea.
Just as China is called China, and not Republic of China or People’s Republic of China.
No, of course not, but if it happens, it will be accompanied by 95% discounts for the Chinese
I wouldnt consider that a copy and paste. Copy and paste to me is just putting the exact same tank in a different tree and that’s just lazy. Adding the same tank but different variant is what I wanted. Too much of the same tank variant is anoying tho (I am looking at you T80. You come every single update)
Goonmobile incoming
But you’d rather take a new vehicle like the Spartan or Scorpion over a indian BMP or something though right?
That is largely what I mean.
I want M55 and other artillery.
I don’t want either or, and I am thankful Gaijin does not do either or.
They will add “all” service vehicles to the game in time.
I hate BMPs so I used a better example for myself.
will this new system be an addition to the current one, or will the new mechanic replace it?
The issue though, they tend to be extremely slow adding other options if there is something similar already in the tree.
Like for example. Still no AS-90 because it would be very similar to the M109 and so its a very low priority addition.
And this repeats itself loads and loads, like where is the Ferret or Saladin? Likely not been added because they perform similarly to South African vehicles already in the TT. Whilst those arent C&Ps, they do raise the issue of sub-TTs in general.
Scimitar and Fox came years and years after they should have done, likely again because of SA light tanks already existing.
Yea I strongly agree. China main can cry if they want but if US tank is going to China then it’s only fair that Chinese tank go to Japan too.
Yea but Gaijin said they will add a US tank to chinese. And assuming it’s the Taiwan’s USA M1A2T (which is the SEPv3) then its only fair that US get it too, completed with DU hull or else it’s going to be the worst SEP variant in the game cuz it’s the heaviest with no armor/mobility upgrade.
Ok, so let me get this straight
India didn’t get to be a standalone tech tree because apparently it didn’t have enough vehicles
BUT KOREA GETS TO BE A STANDALONE TREE?!?!
Ideally, what gaijin needs to do is add these subtrees in a ratio to domestic ones (eg, every 3 new foreign tanks, you add 1 domestic option), and that’s the model I think benefits the community most.
I’m also pretty passionate towards the addition of greece/cyprus specifically because they finally bring Israel into the competitive area of top tier, with an upgunned Strv 122 and Rafale, now while i’d prefer gaijin just fixed the Merkava and other Israeli Vehicles, they’ve had 3 years to do so, so I’d rather resort to the functionally superior C&P addition over the broken domestic one, but maybe that’s just me
Should be the other way round.
that means the nation you picked to grind only gets 1/4 of the additions you might want.
great news, hope my country will join the techtree party in future
Lmao, welcome to Israel 2.0 Would be better to place South Korean veichles in the Japanese tt, with North Korean ones in China. But hey, another tech tree is another tech tree.
