I think the only way to allow this in air sim again is to make air defense of airfields respawnable & lethal to anyone getting close to exploit with a friend.
The induced moderation demand [expense] is why it was disabled in the first place… so an alternative passive moderation measure would need to be implemented without a return of exploiters.
I haven’t thought of any solutions other than improved air defenses.
You’d be surprised if it’s more than the smallest map in the game?
Statistically speaking it’ll be closer to the 2.4x2.4km average. [Closer to 3x3km average for maps locked to higher BRs.]
The main issue is that new and younger players simply aren’t interested in War Thunder. Why? Because the grind is far too heavy. I wish we could see official new-player stats, but I doubt they account for more than 1–2% of total daily active users. The player base consists almost entirely of long-term veterans playing daily.
That is why introducing an Infantry mode won’t work. It won’t attract new players, and existing ones aren’t keen on splitting their time away from Ground, Air, and Naval just to add another grind to their routine. It clearly doesn’t work that way.
As for the leaked/rumored Nuclear Nadal mode: sure, it’s a new gamemode. Look at Ground’s Advance mode—it was essentially copied from custom event servers. However, we’re looking at a 2-to-3-year development timeline just for them to polish it into a playable, somewhat balanced state, similar to current matchmakers and gamemodes.
The core problem is that War Thunder doesn’t have 2 to 3 years. Top-tier tanks and jets have already been reached. They need to launch major content right now, not years down the line, for a simple reason: new players aren’t arriving, veterans are burning out, and overall interest is steadily declining.
Based on what this says, it translates to:
• Improve bomber survivability: Good.
• Rewards to the Player for enemies who get out of a tank: Good.
• There’s no mention of creating a correct Ground Forces damage model for all bullets, preventing penetrations with no damage or very little damage: Bad.
• There’s no mention of reviewing volumetric armor to avoid absurd ricochets: Bad.
• There’s no mention of properly modeling NERA armor: Bad.
• There’s no mention of making larger and better-designed maps for Ground Forces: Bad.
• There’s no mention of properly optimizing updated maps to avoid losing half the FPS: Bad.
• There’s no mention of focusing on the thousands of accepted but forgotten reports from years ago: Very bad.
• There’s no mention of making cannon damage more realistic so that it depends on the HE load in Air Forces: Bad.
•There is no mention of adding the correct compression of the control surfaces with respect to reality in the Air Force: Bad.
It seems the developers are going to continue their headlong rush forward, adding more vehicles that will be broken and riddled with bugs, more gameplay bugs, without fixing the previous ones. But hey, we’ll get some new and beautiful premium vehicles. Of course, we’ll also have our share of continuous events to try and keep players playing the game nonstop, lest without events many players not even log in for the daily reward.
no actually is a lot more younger people than people thing its not just old guys and we wont be seeing new player stats on ages but maybe gajin will creat a age survey and 5th gen f22 will SAVE the new player base that’s why Gaijin will add it so soon , Roblox kids want it adults want it everyone wants it people have already starting coming in and grinding USA tree to be able to get a jet that isn’t in game yet
agreed. this is a range that goes from the hunter F.1 to fighters such as the F-5 while also seeing all aspect missiles such as the AIM-9L. far too extreme of a BR range.
