Adding Gen 5 jets will only delay the inevitable, no matter what. Instead, the focus needs to be on improving teamwork, missions, and game modes to preserve the three core pillars that keep players engaged: FUN, FRESHNESS, and TEAMWORK. You only can use 2 of 3, to make game successful.

We don’t have maps, we don’t have ECM, we don’t even have modern missiles to deal with this, and the player base is going to bitterly regret asking for this so soon just like when they added Fox-3s everyone went wild, then the forums went up in flames, and the game has countless problems.

teamwork isn’t a thing in any game
Newest map Attica is 1600²
Half of that map is inaccessible so closer to 800²
but in the actual game when I’ve played the engagements go from 200-500m
from 1.0 to 12.7
While the new map may be 2400² the engagement distances will be much lower if half the map isn’t closed off. Spawn camping will be rampant and it’ll only have 1 mode (capture the point)

Volumetric ammunition is working perfectly.
If you have issues with overlapping plates, that’s not an issue with the ammo itself, but with the armor.
Volumetric was originally added to fix pixel shooting… how quickly people forget.

just so you know guys f-15EX , j-16, su35 ,and mig 35 will be much better than most 5th gen in war thunder because how many missiles they have and how “BVR” isnt BVR for these jets they can see with crazy radars people thing because f22 will be holding aim120 that it just becomes un notchable now I might not be able to notch it but those sweats will
try playing rivals teamwork just as good as war thunder lol
If you’re that confident they’re going to do something truly amazing, there’s nothing I can say. I’ve known War Thunder for 10 years, and all Gaijin ever does is create temporary hype to sweep the game’s problems under the rug.

In the current meta absolutely, but metas can change and they can very much shift game mechanics in favor of 5th gen if they feel like it
