10ª Squadriglia da bombardamento “Caproni”

History

The 10th Squadron was born during the First World War due to the need of the Italian Armed Forces to bomb the Austro-Hungarian forces. The squadron remained active even after the First World War, and also participated in the Spanish Civil War and the Second World War. During the last world war the squadron was armed with SM.81, SM.79 and CANT Z.1007 and carried out various bombing missions from the AOI to that of Corsica, but after the armistice of 8 September the squadron disbanded and was never refounded after the war.

The Coats of arms

The squadron’s coat of arms is a four-leaf clover, a symbol of luck, with the stem on the left. Unfortunately I have not been able to find photos of the use of the coat of arms in old times, but there are various photos that testify to the use of the coat of arms in recent times for representative purposes.
