This is an issue that been on the issue reporting website for two years, it is accepted in Dec. 2023. Now it is almost the end of 2025, the armor lining for CN’s top MBTs still not added into the game.

This just shows how Gaijin is utterly ignorant. I am sure that all of the staff at Gaijin entertainment knows the existence of spall liners in all top tier Chinese tanks. However, they have been selectively ignoring player feedback and refuses to implement such features. Do you really think that gaijin doesn’t know anything about the balance or the state of Chinese tanks? They know. That is why the ZTZ99A was 12.3, not 12.7. They know that the Chinese tanks that they modelled was incompetent and incorrect. But yet, I have not seen any works that were put in to fix this issue. Chinese tanks still have massive issues in the armor and firepower. And even when Gaijin finally decided to fix the issues, it is always released later than all of the other tanks. Is this really just a mistake, or is this deliberate? I think that only the staff at Gaijin knows what they are thinking.
