My guess is that it relies updating the back end code which was written when the game first came out and changed very little over time. The person who wrote the code most likely moved to another company so whoever works on the backend now has to decode whatever they wrote. Reverse engineering code in my opinion is way harder than writing it from scratch but with the game being so developed writing from scratch might not be the best option either.
Do you think they don’t have documentation for their own code? Or comments? Also it can’t be that complicated, the code is most likely self documenting at least.
Could be foldered with bl50 perhaps. I can see them doing this with many vehicles like mig23 MLD which have variants that can carry more advanced weapons. But with those weapons comes a higher BR ofc
@magazine2 : are Magic-2 bug report being already forwarded to Devs, going to be implemented on next update?
On a side-note:
Appreciate the PoV given from that kind of CM post
Gets shot, take a morphine hit, bandage the wound, keep fighting
which bug?
Lot of them(there is at least 2 things that are still not fixed on Magic-2)
Dual plane 50G overload limit, better IRCCM are the biggest ones I know of.
give a few examples because from experience magic 2 is an epic missile
From what I know duel plane isnt a magic problem its a game problem, their missile simulation isnt coded for duel plane
True, but it still is reported for Magic 2
Beautiful post.
Magazine, thank you.
IRCCM seeker shut off, which is somewhat missing
true value of Magic-2 IRCCM, currently sharing the same number than R-73
However R-73/Magic-2 shares similar technology of seeker, those are differents.
The seeker of R-73, is made trough 2 seeking cells, while Magic-2 one is made with 4 seeking cells.
And definetly can’t share the same numbers because of “balance”,…
For now I think magic 2 performs really well, I reckon that in the future they will carry on buffing the magic 2 and other missiles like aam3 which had some acknowledged bugs regarding its irccm and flight performance but implementing fixes would make the missiles a LOT more powerful
I know, can’t have anything better than the big tree, or two now, I guess.
Cool, it will balance the number of missile used on aircrafts,… mirage 2000 only use 4 Missiles.
And Mirage 4000 may have 8 missile but doesn’t have the HMD feature.
I know it has nothing to do with the post but why are there no maps of iconic cities in air battles like in ground battles?
A map similar to the battle of Washington DC from COD MW2. With armored units defending it or just an air battle over Paris.
wrong. everything players see as BR values is just one huge scam. The game doesn’t use 1.0 or 2.7 or 3.3 … back in 2013 we had 20lvl progression system, since then Gaijin has extended that to lvl35 (that’s what you see as BR 12.7 in game), extending to BR15 would just mean extending further to lvl42.
And no rounding up or down anywhere, what players see as BR 3.3-4.3 battle for example is just lvl7-lvl10. Switching to 0.7MM would just mean lvl7-lvl9 …
yeah its not currently modeled, atm if people can prove for sure that ‘x’ missile can use dual plane, then they will just increase the max G overload up according to whatever the realistic value with dual plane is and call it a day - which tbh isnt a bad solution in the meantime and probs has a pretty similar practical effect.
It’s a little bit ironic, obvious bugs, multiple times proved bugs are often reported, but the tickets were closed without any comment and nothing has happened.
One example: In AirRB the view of payload of your teammates in the scoreboard is broken for years.
