I don’t think there’s any concrete evidence, and Xinhua’s report only describes that it is equipped with a 350 horsepower engine.

No, this new type of airborne combat vehicle has nothing to do with the ZBD03.

施 says it is a fully upgraded version of the ZBD03. Although the tracked weapons and hull have been upgraded, and new APS and anti-tipping equipment have been fitted, the design is still based on the ZBD03.
That’s only partly the view of some people, though.

Probably a little higher tbh, like 8.7-9.0. It’s primary weapon is the 30mm that can either use APDS-T or APFSDS-T with its secondary weapon being the tandem-HEAT HJ-73C ATGM which is SALCOS and capable of penetrating ~500mm+ RHA behind ERA but is very slow. It can also use the HJ-73E which penetrates 800mm of RHA behind ERA. The “E” version is found on the in-game ZBD86.

+1 for airdropped vehicles however there not the greatest because of the light armor but you are very mobile and small enough to be less noticeable. China though has been upgrading there airborne vehicle tech so better things have been appearing.
