That is closest as non copy-paste but overall plausible rank V would be Sverdlov class since some sources state they consider acquiring it but decided against it because of missile age and overall cost.
to note: In lower ranks I really do not see need for copy paste since RoC has full non copy paste line. :) (Big exception being Arethusa but that was due to Historic importance)

Standard version is callled corvette by some but ONI and PLAN call it a “light frigate”
There is also the upgraded 056A version, which where I live has two of them stationed
I would only really suggest having them if we have modern warships and stuff though thanks to the AShMs and the HHQ-10

how about the Type 053H2G class frigate?

3 of them get handed to the coast guard, 1 to sri lanka;
Coast guard version got it’s HQ-61 SAM, YJ-8 AShMs, Type 79 cannon and torpedoes removed, leaving only it’s type 76 twin 37mm cannons

Anqing got renamed to “Jintang” with the pennant number 2201; It’s 37mm cannons were further replaced with twin 25mm cannons(the one found on the ZSD-63/PG-87)
1000
Jintang, Ex-Anqing
Huaibei got renmaed to “Dongtou” with the pennant number 2202, it remained it’s 37mm cannons
641
Huaibei got renamed to yuhuan with pennant number 2203, it remained it’s 37mm cannons

I think both the navy and coast guard versions could work, navy one would be a bit to overpowered though, and Jintang(2201) would have some problems

found something about 25mm type 61 naval gun

Do you plan on adding the type 22 missile boat(boubei class)?

not as of yet, it’s quite a speculative boat and to be fair it would be quite misplaced in the mainly late cold war-era nature of toptier boats

that would be great for a unique belt set, unfortunately gaijin doesn’t specify shell names for calibres under 30mm most of the time

For Tai Ning she was never built, just her hull laid down. Unsei and Bunsei were customs gunboats but they did finish up a Ning type and that was handed over after the war. The surviving rest possibly served with the Nanjing puppet government or survived with the navy until the end of the war.

Also she was supposed to be a minelayer with 40 vickers type H type 3 mines. But the Chinese navy just made their own using samples since it was too expensive.

Actually she may have been completed but as the Japanese navies survey ship Po Yang which then became Qing Tian after the war and served in Taiwan until 1960.

Very sure a modern anti-ship missile can kill a battleship with one missile. Those high tier costal boats look so much more powerful then those in bluewater fleet.

Sadly, it never will. Most of anti-ship missiles are developed in era when battleships are all decomissioned and not target for them, and while some of soviet heavy anti-ship missiles were aimed for US Navy carrier, they are more lightly armored than battleships, and will not be sunk by one missile(according to US Navy itself, they expect at least dozen missiles needed)

The Modern one like the one developed after the 2000s that can go over 1000KM while being bigger then a modern MBT or an Aircraft carrying 750 kg of TNT… Welp Ofcourse they can’t pentrate the armor above water those missles dive down the water once close enough and explode right under the ship causing it to Sink or even worse when it hit the ammo storage.

What kind of science fiction you are reading for…
The last missile with 750 kg warhead(Do note that not 750 kg of TNT), was Granit, which was developed decades ago.
Also, there are no such anti-ship missile that dive down to the water and explode under the ship. You’re confusing with heavy torpedo that are launched by modern submarine.

Common trend of anti-ship missile is focusing on paralyzing the combat system, not sinking entire ship, which is not a good thing or war thunder as it is easy to repair.

They use RDX,HMX and PBX those type of things which is stronger then TNT.

Enough to make a ship unusable. Modern ships dosen’t have armor which is gonna make it easier to destory when hit. In War thunder… it basically gonna make the ship slow as hell and probaly lost most of it crews. Let say it hit the engine bay then water flood in quickly which happens alot in WT therefore your ship became slower or immobile. Impossible to be fixed aswell.

Anyway, no such big TNTe even.

And you’re talking about battleship.

What I’ve meant of paralyzing, is having proximity fuze, and only make radar and bridge above hull unusable. ‘Sinking’ ship would be done by bomb or torpedo afterward. Such tactic is effective in real life, but not in war thunder.

So, which missile in your imagination can penetrate engine room of battleship after penetrating armor?

Both pretty much. But I don’t really think gaijin will really put them together…

It pretty much only Russian missle but I don’t know wether I can trust it or not some still under development. Some just special torpedoes.

They did on Mobile. But I guess they have quite different damage models for ships. They also have also implemented Pr. 903 and S
submarines so naval combat is a lot more different.

As someone mentioned before those missiles are not Anti Battleships so it is questionable how much of a threat they would pose to its hull, everything on deck and above would be a lot more susceptible to damage. Maybe it is more about their precision and speed? We will see.

Adding proper missile ships will also make Chinese Navy more competitive.

I assume the Hainan (late) refers to this? Maybe it should be renamed as the Haijiu class as is its NATO reporting name since its a major modification from the original Type 037 Hainan class.

Anyways, there also seems to be a Type 053H2G Jiangwei I class frigate turned over to the Sri Lankan Navy but was refitted into the OPV role (which means it has no missiles). The SLNS Parakramabahu (P351) served as the flagship of the Sri Lankan Navy until the 2000s, be aware when researching it though, it seems the wikipedia page for it is wrong, it lists the same armaments that can be found on the Type 037I submarine chasers where some were also transferred to the Sri Lankan Navy.

Anyways, this could be a really good opportunity for a modern PLAN frigate to appear in-game currently as it has no missiles but retained the rest of its weaponry retaining the fore 1x twin 100mm guns and 4x twin 37mm AA guns - vastly superior armament compared to its Coast Guard cousin which only has 4x twin 25mm AA guns.

parakramabahu

The Shanghai II design could also probably be foldered into the Shanghai I class. Could copy Timor-Leste’s Jaco Class Patrol Boat designation with it having 2x 30mm guns, and 2x twin 25mm guns.

Jintang(2201, 金塘), got the 25mm cannons; the other two got 37mm cannons
