Chinese Coastal Tree

That’s actually a bigger tree than I thought, would be bigger than the French tree.

did RoC have any destroyers or cruisers pre or during the war? Because bluewater could be viable if so

They bought American ww2 stuff after the war, so while they didn’t operate any of it during the war it’s all ww2 tech.

Infact the boat my grandfather served on in Vietnam went to Taiwan.

British light crusier(5.3 stuff currently)

Unfortunately Bluewater Tech Tree lacks the potential Coastal one has. When it comes to cruisers they operated smaller cruisers before and during WW2 but nothing worth of Rank V. (This could be solved by adding Sverdlov class which some unofficial sources say they considered buying but was decided against it due to cost and advent of missiles as stated by sources). Largest vessel they operated is Arethusa-class. There were 2 cruiser projects constructed by Škoda but WW1 erupted and those were never completed… You can check the tech tree which was proposed. It aint the largest but we kept it unique as possible as we do not believe bloating it with copy-paste or minimal upgrades works. Tech Tree has large potential in anti ship missile department which is yet to be introduced in the main game but it is already in mobile version.
Thank you for understanding.

New vehicle idea
the type 056 (Jiangdao class) corvette/light frigate/cutter coast guard version
in 2021, all 22 original type 056 corvettes/light frigates were sent to the Chinese coast guard. these had their HQ-10 surface to air missiles, heavy machine guns, 324mm torpedoes and YJ-83 AShMs removed. It’s helipad still remained, and it still had 1x H/PJ-26 76mm cannon and 2x 30mm H/PJ-15 autocannons along with 1 water cannon.

Some ships:

Nan’ao (21616, 南澳), Ex-Bengbu (582, 蚌埠); Named for Nan’ao county; Now in the Guangdong Provincial Coast Guard Bureau

Yuyue (4108, 鱼跃), Ex-Baise(585, 百色); now in the 4th coast guard bureau

Using the water cannon on teammates on fire should halve the fire duration as long as the water cannon keeps hitting /j

Honestly that seems like a lovely idea with great colours too

PEAK.

the standard one could also suffice without the HHQ-10 for balance reasons, maybe i could do them both foldered after the zhongtong or wuhu?

as black red baron pointed out the bluewater side of things is lacklustre and as actualsize and korean name said their largest ships were an arethusa-class cruiser and some american destroyers, so nothing really worthy of note without mass copypaste

also a couple of ww1-era cruisers were laid down in austria-hungary but never completed

We did manage to create a tree without much copy-paste and when naval mode reaches anti ship missile weaponry it will need little copy paste but unique or very modified vessels. There is nothing for current rank V or VI though.

true, the armstrong coastal defense ship design so far is the only remote candidate for rank v and yet it’s very very dubious because it was both published in a magazine (iirc) and a paper design so yeah

That is closest as non copy-paste but overall plausible rank V would be Sverdlov class since some sources state they consider acquiring it but decided against it because of missile age and overall cost.
to note: In lower ranks I really do not see need for copy paste since RoC has full non copy paste line. :) (Big exception being Arethusa but that was due to Historic importance)

Standard version is callled corvette by some but ONI and PLAN call it a “light frigate”
There is also the upgraded 056A version, which where I live has two of them stationed
I would only really suggest having them if we have modern warships and stuff though thanks to the AShMs and the HHQ-10

how about the Type 053H2G class frigate?

3 of them get handed to the coast guard, 1 to sri lanka;
Coast guard version got it’s HQ-61 SAM, YJ-8 AShMs, Type 79 cannon and torpedoes removed, leaving only it’s type 76 twin 37mm cannons

Anqing got renamed to “Jintang” with the pennant number 2201; It’s 37mm cannons were further replaced with twin 25mm cannons(the one found on the ZSD-63/PG-87)
1000
Jintang, Ex-Anqing
Huaibei got renmaed to “Dongtou” with the pennant number 2202, it remained it’s 37mm cannons
641
Huaibei got renamed to yuhuan with pennant number 2203, it remained it’s 37mm cannons

I think both the navy and coast guard versions could work, navy one would be a bit to overpowered though, and Jintang(2201) would have some problems
