The problem is that the barrel was removed for the rocket launch test, so if Gaijin added it, I don’t know if it would be done only as a rocket launcher without the barrel or with the barrel being similar to the Magach Hydra.
Ah now I see. Well then it is quite questionable.
The other day they shared this photo during a live on YouTube while talking about the Beagle crisis of 1980, it is an LVTP-5 which is basically an American amphibious assault armored vehicle with the 81mm rocket launchers of the Chilean Mowag grenadier installed, perhaps it could be an 8.0 event/premium vehicle.
After thinking about it for a while I decided to add the EE-9 M2 Cascavel in the two versions that served in Chile when there was almost war with neighboring countries, being used in the tank destroyer group.

A few days ago the Turkish Defense Ministry shared the following image, apparently it could represent the modernization for both Chile and Turkey since Aselsan is in charge of both projects. Or at least the final result of the modernization of the Chilean Leopard 2 would be something very similar to this.
Let me throw this to give a little more insight to this concept.
It’s basically everything that’s budgeted for the Chilean modernization. The only thing that’s not 100% known if it will be added yet is the matter of additional armor, since according to some Chilean sources I have, other armor packages from other companies have also been analyzed. But in general terms, the image shows everything the media has been showing for Chile. It even resembles the model that was at FIDAE 2024 and of which I took several photos.
Wow very good sub-tree! +1
I think It Is a sub-tree for Israel
If you liked this idea, don’t forget to check out the airplane one too :D
I Watch It! It Is very good also the aircrafts sub-tree!
But I am not interested because I dont play with Planes. Good job! 😀
The Chilean army is seeking a modernization of its Marder 1A3 and has begun talks with Turkish companies to see what they offer. Perhaps in the future, we’ll see a fully modernized Marder 1A3, similar to a Swedish CV 90.

Related to that, it is claimed by TurDef which cites YouTube channel “La Trinchera”, modernisation of Chilean Leopard 2A4 by ASELSAN will be carried out in four phases. Per claim, Phase I of the program is completed however if/or program will be continued is still a question.
Phase I
- New Radios
- C4ISR System
Phase II
- IFF System
- Electro-Optic Suite
- Fire Control System
- 360° Surveillance Suite
- Fire Suppression/NBC Equipment
Phase III
- Armor Package
Phase IV
- Active Protection System
I’ll gather information regarding which specific ASELSAN offers and will be updating.

Also ASELSAN is offering modernisation package for Chile’s Leopard 1V with 120mm cannon integration.
From what I’ve heard, they’re already in phase 2 and moving forward. A tank crew competition will be held in Chile at the end of the year, so hopefully we’ll see a tank with the new optics. In any case, what was seen in the model is what has always been confirmed, as one of these smaller models was even delivered to the then Chilean Minister of Defense.
The new defense minister was recently shown the Proaco armored vehicle modernization project. She was shown a Marder 1a3 with new optics and an M109 with new vision devices. The poster also shows the Leopard, although unfortunately, nothing can be read that isn’t already known.
First photo where you can see what appears to be a prototype of the Leopard 2 modernized by Aselsan, you can see the new ATS-65D model commander’s optics (if I’m wrong about the model, please correct me) easily recognizable and possibly also has the new gunner’s optics installed, although unfortunately due to the angle and distance of the photo you can’t see much more.
We can deduce that it does indeed follow the pattern of the model and the video seen on TRT World, which shows the same optics. They are already advancing in phase 2.

Finally we get to see it. It seems to be only vehicle with that CITV, as Leopards on the left still have original one, we could infer that Phase II begin very recently. Wish we could verify if were there really a Phase I with mentioned upgrades.
I would say it is indeed ATS-65 as it is already being used on SARP 100/25 as Gunner’s primary sight, ATS-65D is the navalized version so it is unlikely used on Leopard. Performance wise 65 and 65D seems pretty much the same.

A few weeks ago, the crews were publicly shown the new Aselsan communication systems. I don’t know the exact models, but I think you’re more of an expert on the subject. Phase 1 is complete; as you say, they’re now starting Phase 2.
That’s ASELSAN INTERAS 6610 Microphone & Earphone Set. That rumour about Proaco being 4 Phase (for Leopard) seems to be correct. I haven’t really seen inside of Leopard but it is highly likely Phase I is completed and Phase II is being worked on.
In-game Phase I means pretty much nothing but I would say Leopard 2CHL Proaco Phase I would be quite nice premium. It would not take much from the Tech Tree as it is virtually same as Leopard 2A4CHL.
These must be all the new internal communications systems of the tank, this slide was the one shown by Aselsan for the Chilean army, you can see the Interas 6610 that you mentioned. I got a screenshot of a live YouTube broadcast from the channel “La Trinchera,” which is run by retired military personnel and is a channel where they interview important figures from the army, the air force, etc.
I think that would be the Leopard 2A4CHL that I have in BR 10.7, I don’t think I should add another one.
I could probably find each specific equipment if its needed. Also could you link the channel, I could not find back then when I looked up.
I’m with you here, there will be a lot of similar Leopards if the project goes through four phases. Still though, there is no Chilean premium option 10.0-11.0 Battle Rating range. Just a food for thought.
That’s the channel. They always broadcast live about various military issues in Chile, and whenever there’s news about the progress of modernization, they’re the first to mention it. Some Turkish websites even use it as a source for their news.

It would be very useful to know the models. It would help me make a future suggestion on the Aselsan-modernized Leopard 2 forum. I would really appreciate it.
I think that when we see the final modernized version, I could add an intermediate version as a premium version, for example a version with the improvements from phase 2 onwards.
