BMC and Roketsan make their modernization on this green one is BMC sand color is ROKETSAN and Turkish Army chose both’s good sides such as Roketsan’s easy re fit era solution and BMC apc with sensor kits and that is you mentioned is about final production program
its done and its on production

Eh we’ve scrapped Kazakh Sub-Branch since Kazakhstan went with Terrex 8x8 based ( which was not even part of tender) vehicle instead of Arma and likely Tulpar is out of picture. There is no need for Sub-Branch to include them into Tech Tree. Much of the vehicles which will be integrated into tree directly.

Only ROKETSAN’s solution were green lighted as emergency program for 81 tanks which later reduced to 40 tanks as Leopard 2A4T1; albeit BMC were awarded with Leopard modernisation there has not been any update and as far as I remember BMC’s deal were even before ROKETSAN’s, I doubt BMC is still in program.

I doubt that. Leopard 2A4T1 is the only solution accepted into service, later it is announced Leopard 2A4 included into TİYK Programme. Remaining 2A4 is likely to be the one @Flyexz posted with T1 Armor Package and ASELSAN sub-systems.

That being said, I actually would love to see Leopard 2A4 with T-Armor (Altay’s armor package), but from the looks of it, it will be T1. I expected remaining Leopards to be upgraded with state-owned firms without ant third part like M60T1.

Although we do not have exact information, this package seems to have:

  • T1 Armor Package (Slightly Different)
  • VOLKAN 200/120 Fire Control System
  • AKKOR Active & Passive Protection System
  • LİAS 400 Tank Laser Warning Receiver System
  • GÖREN 100 or GÖREN 200 Driver’s Vision System
  • KARTALGÖZÜ 200 Commander’s/Gunner’s Sight System
  • YAMGÖZ 100 or YAMGÖZ 200 360° Situational Awareness System

South Korea is more logical, at least the player base is large

I would also add South Korea, as Turkey can produce the Altay (K2) and the T-155 Firtina (K9) from South Korea under license. These two Vehicles Are almost the Same but with slightly different optics and Systems

These statements are wrong. Altay has elements from K2 such as the main cannon and armor scheme, other than that it is completely built by Otokar & BMC. Same goes for T-155 Fırtına, subsystems such as fire control system and the auto loader are from K9, other than that is again a domestic MKEK product.

Wasn’t the Altay supposed to be the tank for the Turkish army? Why did a new variant appear? We were talking to some Turkish acquaintances and we thought that it could be the modernization for Chile as well, perhaps for both countries.

altay amt k2 panther is similar but its armor structure is very different also k2 panther is 50 tons while altay is 65 tons

That’s still the case, Altay procurement still continues but rather in slow fashion. Turkish Armed Forces is one of the biggest Leopard 2A4 for users, around 330 Leopard 2s in is service currently. 40 of them are in Leopard 2A4T1 configuration and rest in base model 2A4s. So it is only logical to bring them to moderns standard especially since the know-how is there.

Base Leopard 2A4s are showing their age as they’ve received zero upgrades during their service life and it become apparent in Syrian operations. Turkey has been planning to modernise its Leopard 2A4s since the procurement (see Leopard 2A4NG) and its finally becoming a reality.

Well it would be similar considering main sub-system contractor is ASELSAN for both projects. Phase I of Chilean Leopards are not planned to receive T1 Armor Package as far as we’ve seen, maybe it would be incorporated in Phase II. Also from what we’ve seen, Chilean Leopards are to receive different electro-optics, at least CITV is different.

That is not entirely true. Turkey indeed received technology transfer for both Altay and Fırtına, but they are far from being license produced vehicles. Both of the vehicles evolved from K2 and K9 but they are very much different, especially Altay. Altay is more of Europeanised version of K2 with indigenous systems; pretty much everything except for the power pack, this included important systems such as cannon, armor, electro-optics and fire control as well as “minor” parts such as Insulated Body Ammunition Rack, Tracks, Turret Drive System and Fuel and Hydraulic Pumps.

I would prefer a United Korean Korean Tech Tree to be honest. In a Sub-Tree you can have limited amount of vehicles thus you cannot really see the progress and evolution of unique vehicles. Instead of throwing lets say K2 to top tier, you could start from XK2 to its final form in proper tree.

Yet again, its been quite a while since we’ve update the Turkish Ground Forces Tech Tree but here we are with a brand new update but this time it’ll be a little different then earlier ones. Instead of
an updated Ground Forces Tech, this time we’ve come up with showcase of Turkish Defence Sector to show capabilities and flavour of possible Turkish Ground Forces Tech Tree.

In this update we’ve covered armaments that are relevant in War Thunder such as tank cannons, machine-guns and automatic grande launchers. We’ve focused on indigenous products and some license products that has been part of the production for quite sometime and used extensively. So let’s get into the Weaponry Section of Turkish Defence Industry:

Will there be any Update with Rank III and below or is the current one the newest? @lLiberté

I believe it would be more enjoyable if you add South Korea as sub tree, rather than Kazakhstan. South Korean tech tree might go to K2 Blackpanther, and you can also add Endonesian Kalpan MT in south Korean sub tech tree cuz both located close to each other and both are in asia. I know they are really different nations but still south korea might be added

Suggestion’s made for the ACV-15T1 (which isn’t its official designation that I’m aware of, just a placeholder) and ALTUĞ 8x8 IFV, hopefully they’re approved.

  • 134x have been modernized with an unmanned turret dubbed NEFER that houses a 25mm autocannon, and packed full of electronics i.e. LWS, 360-degree thermal camera coverage, tailored FCS for improved APFSDS-T rounds, etc.
    • Estimated BR: 9.0

  • In production, 29x ordered. Equipped with a 35mm autocannon in the Korhan unmanned turret, AKKOR hard-kill APS, and a multitude of sensors. It will be the Turkish Army’s new wheeled IFV.
    • Estimated BR 10.3

Great, your suggestions are always top notch, I’ll be glad if I can offer any help.

It kind of is, Land Forces Command tends to not properly designate vehicles, like M60T1 still commonly referred as M60T, but this package is FNSS’ ACV-15 Life Extension Program which is dubbed as ACV-15T1.

NEFER got designation of SARP 100/25.

Same deal here, KORHAN’s new designation is SARP 100/35.

Thanks man! Yeah I’m just waiting for them to be approved, probably like a month or so.

I did list the SARP turrets along with the other name it is associated with. I thought that was strange when I was making the suggestion, I wasn’t familiar with SARP at the time.

Considering doing some on the Kaplan-10 ATGM carrier since Turkey is procuring like 200+ of them, and the M52T which number like 360+.

Is there plans for the armed forces to procure the Kaplan-MT? I saw there was rumors about the Turkish Army looking into getting a few.

As I said earlier, I know they’re adopting the Kaplan-10 ATGM Carrier and maybe some of the APC’s but I’m wondering what other platforms they could adopt considering the Kaplan is a pretty modular chassis.

Also, this answered that question (along with what you said) lol:

There’s also an ATGM version of the ACV as well.

Looks to be the OMTAS & L/UMTAS missiles (and a coaxial 7.62mm machine gun) I’m assuming which is the same as the Kaplan-10.
