Whelp here it is chieftain mk10 is now 9.3. That it. I aced it naturally and it is the last time I’ll play it. One of my favorite tanks. Objectively it worse that other tanks at the same br.
Yep TTD is pretty solid, it has minimal weak spots on the front. My theory is it was underutilised by skilled players because it’s ugly and boring and not actually British so it’s win rate hasnt been as amazing as it should be.
RISE has much much much worse armour than the Chieftain Mk.10.
Worse dart too (only M735), albeit a faster reload.
To the British mains out there that are upset about this like me.
There are other fun tanks to play in the British tree, i’ve been having stupid good fun in the Cromwell V, especially since it had its top speed shadow buffed to the 40mph it should be.
I vastly favour gameplay reasons first.
Let’s do something simpler: give those bullets to all tanks and don’t change any Battle Ratings, since the M60A3TTS is already in the Chinese tech tree at Battle Rating 9.0, and it doesn’t seem to be ruining the game. After all, having a powerful bullet for tanks with little armor doesn’t make a huge difference.
as they are glass cannons tbh, thy dont have any protection
The same applies to the other class cannons, but with worse bullets and in the same BR. That’s why having a better bullet won’t make that much of a difference.

It does for the enemies. As i said already, that makes the top tier a Tarkov with no armor, meaning first saw first killed, with no chances of fighting back. Thats why i dont like the idea of a glass cannon. It removes the skill and aim from the equasion
Because the Chinese M60A3TTS with DM33 is fine in Br9.0, and the American M60A3TTS with the M833 is bad, or the AMX30B2 Brenus with the OFL105G2 (that one should be upgraded to Br9.0), or the Leopard 1A5 with the DM63 (the change with the DM33 is marginal).
the tts is just fine with m774 in my experience
dont really have any issues with the round, can lolpen anything

I understand it also works well with the M774, but if it were possible to add a slightly better round, it would allow the M60A3 to defend itself more effectively against tanks of a higher BR, similar to how the Chinese M60A3 uses the DM33, which isn’t causing a disaster in matches. It would be like the Magach 5, which has the M111 at BR8.0, making it a powerful tank in terms of penetration, but nothing spectacular. In my opinion, they should upgrade it to BR8.3 because of that round, but I wouldn’t remove it entirely since it’s the round it historically used (the Magach 3 ERA should use the same round).
Incidentally, I find it curious that the M833 ammunition, a production model that entered service and was used for years, has ended up being a mere transitional round in the game, only found on two non-event vehicles in the tech tree, and which you forget about when you unlock the M900. I also find it curious that there is only one non-event German tank in the tech tree that uses the DM63, and that is the Argentinian TAM.
To be honest I’m not that upset, I ran both in my 9.3 line up anyway give me a slight reload buff and I will be chuffed but then again I don’t believe in “maining” anything as you don’t really get to learn anything about other vehicles and your only playing 1/10th of the entire ground game anyway Italy and France are fantastic if you like minor nations they’re like the ugly neglected children that are actually butterflies
i’ve been keeping track. last 15 games at 9.3 has had brits 3 times (playing as china). All other nations have had more presence. Good job killing off one of the few functional brit BR sets.

German 9.3 is so much better.
The T-72M1 alone is leagues ahead of the Chieftain in EVERY aspect. And thats before you look at the Leopard 1A5, or KPZ.

If you think the T72M1 is better, try the ZTZ96. 466 pen dart and much better turret armor while keeping the same speed. China also has an incredibly strong list for 9.3 with the 9.0s putting in some incredible work.

Not 100% accurate, however it shows that even the USA was aware of the L60 making over 800 HP in the 80s.

Just crewed the 900, like what? this thing definitely inferior compared to Olifant mk2, slow as f + no thermals and inferior ammunition in comparison, not to mention its as slow as the mk10 and this time you without the turret armor.
Now it’s Olifant’s turn to move up alongside many other 9.3s.
