i dont think the j-10 was actually based off the lavi, pretty sure thats just a rumor someone made up. though they can definitely add the lavi

I’m talking about AMRAAM-ER, it’s currently only ground launched

isnt it almost a completely different missile anyways? looks like a super fat aim 120 lol

I‘m talking it too
can’t you see the image?

Here are some papers.
1.

The first paper, from the Wind Tunnel Center in Mianyang, Sichuan, utilized a model of “Project 10”—which, based on the accompanying diagrams, can be confirmed as the J-10. The paper presents wind tunnel test results for its Cl and Cd at Mach 0.6. (Note: 1. The Cl values do not account for the effect of leading-edge maneuver flaps; 2. The Cd represents the total aircraft drag coefficient, not the individual Cd of the wing or fuselage as viewed on StatShark.)

The second paper, from the Flight Test Establishment in Xi’an, provides Cl values that include the influence of leading-edge maneuver flaps. The “static” column indicates a maximum lift coefficient of around 1.8, with the critical angle of attack approximately 40 degrees.

Nevertheless, there is still a lack of data regarding its drag under supersonic conditions.

wasn’t there a pilot interview that said the supersonic drag was high or something? i remember reading something like that once

Test pilot: “I accelerated to an IAS of 1453 km/h at 1000 meters, maintained flight above 1450 km/h for 20 seconds (without airframe disintegration), thereby meeting the design envelope requirements.”
Gaijin: “According to test pilot interviews, due to high drag, the J-10 could only manage 1453 km/h at low altitude.”

ah, that must be what I’m remembering. Also, that’s such a gaijin thing to do

Some people say that PL15 will appear in the next update. It should be noted that the performance of this missile far exceeds other missiles currently available in the game. If the performance of PL15 is forcibly weakened in order to make it appear in the next update, I would rather see PL12later appear in the game together with J10C

if they add pl-15 then they’re probably gonna add its equivalents like r-37m, meteor, aim-120d, r-77m (though pl-15 is better than all of them (usure about r-77m and meteor tho)).

PL-15 is NOT better than all of them lmao

Just like you think Rafale is stronger than J10C? Haha, then you’re right

pl15 will be better than aim120d with dual rocket and r77m will have lesst range as the pl15 but still dual pulse

The R37M has a longer range than the PL15, but it is a bulky long-range missile that, like the PL17 and AIM174, is not on the same track as other missiles

r37m is mach 6 capable is some condition, as for the 174 is like the ks172, mach 4

The Rafale is definitely stronger than the J-10C. But I have no idea when I even implied that.

Still worse than the meteor and the missile itself only has a 20km range advantage on the AIM-120D

It would likely be added along with other missiles of similar capability like the meteor, AIM-120D, etc.
