Chengdu J-10, History, Performance & Discussion

The new paint job they added for the j10c is laughably awful, luliang airbase should sue gaijin entertainment for it.

J-10C Series 1-3 use AL-31FN-3, and starting from Series 4 No.~30 you have WS-10. After that you even have some of the Series 3 planes getting swapped with WS-10B, let alone all the earlier production of Series 4.

Plus at its current iteration the radar is just garbage, false lock occurring every 10-15 seconds and lasts each time 5 seconds, and with such a gimped gimbal limit. All combined you have a hybrid of J-10A and J-10B/C with an incorrectly painted radar radome, an insufficient HUD, an inferior radar compared to its competitors, a gimped armament suite and an incorrect modeled rear fuselage. Might as well revert it to 13.7.

i think the fix for the ESA radar issues is already in the datamines, i dont know if they are on the live server yet

if it isnt live yet then it will come tomorrow

This talk about batches is irrelevant, su30sm2 got the al-41, no batch of su30sm2 with a. Al-41 exist. J10c should have ws10b the fact it doesn’t is absurd

simple:

gaijin didnt need to change the 3D model for the AL-41

thats why they gave it to the Su-30SM2

actually exists, but even less than SU-57. first bench mass produced version is reported delivered last month.
anyway, someone said there is some bug with IIR LS-6’s seeker, can anyone test it?

Only issue I had with them is the seeker has a hard time locking, I’ve never used IR bombs before so I don’t know if all of them are like this or if it’s the LS-6 specifically being bugged

ive seen a bug report from someone regarding the issiue with the WS10 engine, but it got closed with ,not a bug,. So i guess gaijin just doesnt want to give it its proper engine for whatever reason. The evendence that guy gave was solid too, so tecnically gaijin doesnt have another argument than just:, nahh,.

i mean its not like its some big secret that j10c have access to ws10b

Its fine no ws10b, but according to the reason they add Malaysia Su30MKM’s kh38 (which never appeared and no evendence it can equip with either official documents or photo prove), the J10C equiped AL31 for first a little block and also China imported serveral Su35 with AL41, sure J10C also can equip that, adjust the current AL31 to AL41 seems reasonable.
The bug reporting manager never care evendence, the only word they know is “Not a Bug

The j10 physically cannot equip the al41f1s due to gear box position

And it has access to 6 of them like jeez at least limit them to 4 or 2, it shouldn’t have access to the agm in the first place on the other hand is kinda funny how China only has access to 4 Kh-29s even on the J-11B and if you want access to 6 missiles you have to pay while Malaysian Su-30 gets 6 Kh-38 missiles and is tech tree

Why the fk did GAJIN add the J10c, when it is absolut unfinished, wrong model, wrong engin and abismal drag. Right now, how it is ITS ABSOLUT DOGSHIT. Even the DEV BLOG is still missing

why wrong? i googled the tail number and it has al31 irl

because the J-10C should be using the WS-10B, but they gave us a worse version

He said “changes” which would mean plural change, more than 1.

So could it be new engine plus new missile? PL-12A/PL-15?

Lowering the drag could also be an interesting change, the thing got the drag of a Flanker…

I know the gearbox has been changed from top to the bottom for AL31, how hard can it be for AL41?
beside of that, this game is not realistic at all, japanese got so many fake things even the whole F-16AJ why China didnt recieve any of it?

In addition, Gaijin give all southeast Asia ( Greater East Asia Coprosperity Sphere) to japan tech tree, can I interpret this behaviour is trying to revive millitarism?

Whatever it may be, I hope its significant enough to make the plane at least feel somewhat like its real counterpart. And I hope such changes are done sooner rather than later.
