So this is my first post since i was chat banned a day ago, the problem is that gaijin just understands that the one who said the slurs is at fault, when most of the time it is due to another player being toxic towards us, reaching to a point that we say stuff we dont mean to. plus i got 1 month for saying the n word once :/ they should take it more lightly too, its not that deep. and not being able to DM is fucked up, i get the general chat ban but dude in game DMs are necessary to talk with friends and reach out to people.

CHATBAN should apply to the public part, both friendlist and squadron should be free from it.

I mean if Gaijin didn’t make this a game that’s 13+, really shouldn’t. Then chances are they would be more lenient however taking into consideration of the age rating. Just don’t drop the common cuss words generally you need to use extremely childish or archaic cuss words such as Poopy…farty stuff of that sort…(I’m never saying that again)

Yeah but I agree with his point that chat bans shouldn’t apply to DMs with your friends

He didn’t say it was in a DM, he just said that due to the chat ban he can’t send DM’s anymore.

try stop being toxic and be a better person. This is what consequences look like when you want to act like a rotten person because your upset over a video game. You post breaks down to " i know what i did was wrong but i dont want consequences for my actions as im special "

Saying racial slurs to other people should not be tolerated or taken lighly just because you want to be a racist online ( and probably to scared to be racist in person ) and continued use of them should be a permeate chat ban.

We do not need people like you in this community.

Its really a dilemma afterall because gaijin doesnt know if you are using the DMs to harass someone that you couldnt before

How is it that in all my life, even at my angriest and most frustrated with people - I have never felt the urge to throw dehumanizing rhetoric, slurs at people?

I did tell people to make sweet love to a rusty spear, but that still did not dehumanize them.

The rules clearly say what you are not allowed to say, and this doesn’t include “except if the other guy has broken the rules too”.

If you notice an offense, report it and don’t react any further. Reacting may start a whole avalanche of offenses, and only get you into trouble as well.

Well, if one is not capable of regulating oneself if provoked, then actually a chat ban may indeed be a very good idea to protect others from people who say what they don’t mean.

Again, no. Anything racist, xenophobic, hate related is always treated as grave offense and not tolerated under any circumstance, same as anything nazi related, pornographic, etc.

So there is zero tolerance for calling someone the N word or advocating suicide, for example.

We don’t discuss bans on the forum, But if you don’t like the outcome then don’t retaliate in chat and just report them instead :)
