Changes to the SP cost of CAS in GRB

I’ll be honest. I really thought this was an exploit a long time ago, but later realized that’s just another way to play Ground RB which is fine, each player can do as they please. One out of 10’ish, 15’ish games I see someone do it, its not that common for me to see. When I do see it though, the moment I die either by that CAS or tank, I just spawn on SPAA which I do successfully stop it majority of the time.

This change is an odd way to go about it but it should be an overall positive.

I still think itemized sp cost per bomb/missile would of been a much better way to do it.

Is this really an issue? I’ve player over 4000 hours of War Thunder and I cannot recall ever being in a situation where repair costs were a concern. I hardly pay attention to how much SL I have, unless its gamble crate time. If you’re consistently losing so badly that you’re going SL bankrupt to repair costs maybe its time to consider a different BR/line up for a while.

this is a combined arms video game, World of Tanks is next door.

Wow, fast tanks are fast and being fast gives you an early game advantage?! What a revelation.

Way to miss the point I was making dude.

Going bankrupt from losing is never a fear, it’s just having so little SL in general that makes wasting SL when grinding be a pain. Anyone who says “Oh you don’t need to grind, just play the game!” is either the type of player who has paid their way to top tier and given themselves millions of SL via golden eagles or is lying to themselves about how the whole game isn’t somehow based around grinding for RP/SL.

Also if this was true, tanks would be allowed in the air gamemode.

If you play decently and get some kills/caps you shouldnt be losing SL at the end of the match. I’ve never bought SL with Eagles and I routinely have a surplus SL sufficient for gambling on dumb crates like the watermelon bomb.

I would much rather get rid of ARB than see TO added. ARB is terrible, but I do understand why there are no tanks in it. Have you seen the size of those maps? A tank would spend the entire match just getting to the fight, and the slower tanks may never get there. If that sounds like fun to you then by all means lets allow tanks in ARB.

Was the point you were making something other than complaining about fast vehicles using their speed to get an early game advantage?

In Chinese, both the Leopard tank and the Panther tank are referred to as 豹, which can refer to the Panther medium tank of Nazi Germany (D,A,G,F model), as well as the Leopard tanks developed by the Federal Republic of Germany since 1965 (such as Leopard 1A5, Leopard 2A4, etc.). However, in the Chinese community, these two types of tanks are abbreviated as Panther. In discussions on World War II topics, we would say Panther A, Panther D, Panther F, while in modern discussions, we would say Leopard 1A2, Leopard 2A4, etc,But in Chinese, ‘leopard’ usually refers to the genus Panther, the feline family, but both Panther and Leopard are leopards, so there may be problems when translating directly

Although I may not have a big problem, my teammates are not very skilled. If I want to win, I largely rely on my personal abilities. Otherwise, I will not be able to achieve victory and earn enough profits

Perhaps you think it’s easy to destroy a tank, but that’s thinking from the perspective of a strong person. When a Tiger tank is hiding in a dark corner, only bombs are the best way to solve it

This is a classification problem for the Leopard genus in Chinese. As you know, the Federal Republic of Germany named the new tank Leopard largely to avoid the Panther tanks from World War II

If you know Weitmann or Otto Kalus, then you probably know what kind of German teammates they are. Usually, one or two ace tank commanders lead a group of new soldiers to the battlefield with dismal results, which is why Tiger and panther tanks can be paired up

It’s not gonna matter how well you play if your entire team can’t play the game. You’re never gonna make enough SL to make it feel worth it. Also telling me you gamble in WT isn’t making me trust you more, it makes me trust you less.

Well what else am I suppose to do with millions of SL I don’t need? The crates are dumb but for 60k SL you get a chance at a vehicle you can’t get otherwise, and now that they added Item Recycling there isnt much of a downside.

At that point what other vehicle would you need? You clearly have everything and are just addicted at this rate.

I lose a braincell every time a TO spammer says “B-BUT ARB!!!1!!!”

You can get something like F4D-1. It sucks at grinding but it’s very fun.

Truly a life threatening issue.

Yes. if you scroll a bit back the argument pangolin made was that only good tankers get into CAS because they need a lot of SP to do so. Me and some others pointed out that is not the case as you often see people using lower BR fast vehicles for easy early game CAS

It was clear to me there was some translation shenanigans going on in this case. But I thought you woul proof read at least the names after people pointed out it was making no sense.

There is other ways. Not once have I seen a situation where an enemy tank could only be killed by bombs. It is often easier to bomb but it’s not the only way.

You know people do play this game in less than the optimal grinding way because they have fun?

I often play france 7.0 or 7.7 because I have fun playing those tanks

“Often”

That’s the detail that completely destroyed y’all’s argument. It isn’t often, heck it doesn’t even happen once every 20 games.

Oh I see. Well little do you know that using low BR fast vehicles in higher BRs than they were intended to get an early game advantage by establishing air superiority is a skilled tanker move.

So it turns out your example of a “bad tanker” is actually a good tanker in terms of strategy.

So a good tanker by your definition rushes to spawn a plane?
With that action by definition ceasing to be a tanker.

Completely depends on the BR you are playing at. But it happens often enough to warrant pointing out.

I’ve seen many ppl spawn low tiers in high tier battles, what I can’t ever recall seeing is the guy in a low tier end up in a plane.

This strategy is not common enough to bring up in any CAS discussion. It has no effect on CAS balance outside the very few people doing it, and it obviously doesn’t apply to the “CAS players have no skill” argument either.
