Changes to helicopter availability in SB battles on BR 8.3-9.3

Hi,

I’m writing about this topic - what do you think about making some minor changes to the availability of helicopters in the first simulation where they’re available? I’m talking about changes like lowering the BR of a few helicopters so they’ll fit into that lower-tier simulation. I’m mainly referring to France, which got the short end of the stick and didn’t get any Gazelles in the set. I can understand the second version - thermal + 4x HOT 2 - but the first version, which only has 2x Tow 2 and no thermal??

How is it supposed to fight against Russia and China, which have, for example, Gazelles equipped with HOT-1 and HJ-8E missiles, or the Z-11WA, which has a thermal? Right now, France and Japan are the most disadvantaged there, although unfortunately there’s nothing to change in Japan’s case because the next helicopter in line is already the AH-1E, which is powerful.

All NATO helicopters have access to the TOW, which has a range of 3.75 km and a velocity of 296 m/s.
The USSR and Germany have access to the Falang, which has a range of 4 km and a speed of 230 m/s.
The UK has the AS12, which has a range of 6 km and flies at 210 m/s.
And France? France has the SS-11, which has a range of 3 km and a speed of 220 m/s.

Mmmm, HOT against Pz-4-s in sim?
Brilliant!

Apparently in SB they are shooting ATGM against sherman and T-34?

Anyway, heli BR placements are very neglected. And SB is even more neglected. I doubt they will do much even if we directly throw message to the HQ. Pretty sad.

It is sad that only the AH-64E, Mi-28NM, and Z-10ME can be played in toptier SB. Helicopters such as the AH-64A, Tiger, or even the Ka-52 are not used because they have no chance, not against anti-aircraft systems, but against missiles fired from other helicopters.
