I think bonbers should either spawn with interceptors who will cover them/attack enemy bombers at that same altitude, or should spawn behind a field just 1km above the ground, so fighters and interceptors could join them
War Thunder prop battle was always designed for Eastern front Air Battle. It would be great to have two city bellow, and everyone start at least 4000 m on the sky.
starting too high is painful when you need to reload at the base
Only the stupid one like Ki-109 or the P.108 A
Why are you surprised? HE wasn’t designed to be used against the crew, but against the structure. Cockpits were generally well-armored enough to be effective, hence the need for AP.
Ironic, since it’s the worst option against anything right now
ok what now

this is a better interceptor than 99.99% of interceptors
What armor?

Shhhhh, you are clearly choosing the wrong plane, or the game has modelled everything wrong, or something something idk
I know you’re being sarcastic but it’s true
that’s unarmored glass
ALL the bombers are like this now
But muh historical accuracy shows every bomber survived with catastrophic damage
The missing ones

Good job flying the Death Star and do what the Death Star supposed to do. Lol
That my oversight to not exclude the Death Star. The bomber problem is always an ammo problem, where Germany prop didn’t have these that are least effective at killing bombers now.
So they accidentally modeled the missing armored glass?
Probably because HE is currently absolutely busted. 7.92mm AP-T seems like a reliable way to pilot snipe bombers. So i figure all AP is reliable against pilots. Use that knowledge as you want.
Large caliber HE should most likely absolutely destroy the unarmored cockpit windows on bombers that didn’t have armored ones, here’s hoping for a fix
Which part of “ALL the bombers are like this now” did you not understand?
The issue isn’t HE. HE is fine. The issue is that bombers are now armored like interwar tanks.
Bombers essentially are plated in invisible weightless steel plates at the moment.
These silly changes need to be walked back quite a bit.
