I love Norway as it is one of the few maps allowing you to use tactic and strategy in order to win if you know what you are doing.
Without downplaying your great match - from my pov the map and the underlying game mechanics are way too complicated for newer players and your personal success in this single match is (based on my experience on this map) a statistical outlier. Congrats!
The reality of most of my matches there looks different. As i fly rather often on this map (for both sides) i frequently lose my mind there as both teams repeat the same mistakes in infinite loops - no matter what you advise them in all chat. As a result of this desperation i even invested time to create a map guide - with basically zero response except from 2 passionate players:

This reply alone highlights the issue with the current state, and heading of WT. Instead of learning to play their planes/tanks/boats/bicycles better, people expect instant gratification and quick rewards for little to no effort.
It’s evident in people crying for lower repair prices/RP costs, higher mission rewards and faster time-to-action in matches. As soon as repair costs went down, no one cared if their plane survived, they’d go in low, get into a furball, hope to get a kill, die and repeat. Which is okay in arcade imo, but not in RB.
This just snowballs to different issues. Planes win rates go down → plane gets lower and lower in BR → a powerful plane in the right hands becomes OP because of low BR → Good players abuse it. And the cycle repeats for other planes.
This is the great 2020’s dumbification of WT. And as someone who has played for 11 years, it’s sad to watch a good game slowly go worse.
Notice how the engines are completely untouched and yet its no challenge at all to land without 3 of them

that IS the graphic for survivorship bias and there’s apparently no survivors with engine damage
You’re right, flying in straight lines to press spacebar over stationary, defenseless targets with no protection, that are marked on the map is much more exciting
Bomber players calling everyone “the fighter mafia” when they simply point out the fact that bombers are overtuned and should be corrected

Also I knew I could be clocked with an egg timer how long it would take the fighter mains to begin their ritual whining. Just get over it and play the game.

I’ve been playing bombers since the update dropped. Gotta get those statistics as high as possible so they get nerfed into the dirt.
