Changes to Bomber Survivability

Looking here, That engine caught on fire in…

10 rounds

You couldn’t land 10 rounds on a bomber engine lmao

Live match or not buddy thats a bad look

And what was your document say the rate of setting things on fire?

one round.

Then skill issue I guess, instead of how realistic the game mechanism is.

Where is 1? lmao, and these are 13mm, not 20. Lemme grab a 20mm plane. And keep reading the document you’re learning

Dude’s the live definition of bad faith.

ah im sorry, I guess you didn’t read your own document
4/5 shots.

thats 12. thats literally a misprint. You just proved my video is literally accurate lmao

infamous 12, containing a 2 and a 0

gng we know you can’t read you just drop documents and like “see im right”

12 fires in 13 hits is pretty good going. Now try replicating that

SO you’re going by total on the aircraft or per fuel cell?

That you have to ask me ts means you don’t read your own document lmfao

Yeah, fuel tank fire that is located near the fuselage just destroys my control lines over time and all the gunners that are behind it.

fantastic! now i can set a bomber on fire and wait 5 minutes for it to finally kill him! usually not even getting kill credit in the process! there are videos of german 30mm shells being tested on bombers of the time and you can go see what they do to them. if you think this change is fine the way it is you are missing the point.

the problem isn’t that they’re unkillable, its that they’re almost indestructible.

You can see above my G8N puts out a giant fuselage fire just fine. Must be your own plane.

Heres a page depicting the probability of a bomber suffering from an “a” kill condition (crashed in 5 minutes) or “b” kill (crashed in 15, aka making it home in war thunder sized maps), based on different rulesets. Probability vs compound fires (fires stacking) and probability of single shot fires, and those two further divided by all fuel tanks full, or just the main fuel tanks. All cells full, “A” kill probability vs 10 hits of INC 20mm with compound fires. 0.011, aka 1%
Probability of B kill, 0.257 aka 25.7%

Fuel tank fires… aint as dangerous as y’all make it seem

Now against bigger guns blowing bigger holes making bigger fires? well well, now we’re up to 59 and 66 percent on say a mk108 against a b25, but we are discussing 13s and 20s here, and well, not too good

so un-dangerous that 7 lancasters were brought down by one plane with just two 20mm cannons

how far did those landcasters have to fly home? 7 minutes across a war thunder map? Or hours back out of germany, and across the channel? Any details on exactly how these landcasters died? actually, any proof this happened? 7 kills in one flight is some story level stuff, surely it would be everywhere

guns against bombers so bad, the Soviet Union made two whole jets lines at the start of the cold war with guns for bombers

the start of the cold war… interesting, uh… what other option was there? ramming? lmao

the crew abandoned them as soon as they could because they KNEW the plane was going down and they weren’t staying around to go down with it

it is everywhere, maybe ask your AI council about it too.
