Because modern jets were designed to be unstable and need to be auto-micro-managed by an in-flight computer.
“early SAMS”
250m lethal radius at b52 altitude
130kg of tnt
65m accuracy
you’re within the smallest QUARTER of the lethal radius, their prox fuses are set to that, and yet they aint breaking apart or even instantly dying
“but but im effectively crippled and out of the match!!!” "RoyalWaffles probably
I see a bomber shot at by idiots that were unloading dead center mass, and left the wings, tail, and most of the engines alone. And it didnt die and rewards those idiots. good
You know the sample size of War Thunder is much bigger right? You are just looking at the surviving case here.
heres a case I didnt survive cause they aimed at uh… not the strongest part of the bomber
man, thats weird, i crashed in like 2 minutes
The landing broke my tail off too, but two minutes later it’s back on!
Also, the new DM means you can just gunship the ground targets, and if a fighter comes after you can just… kill them. They can’t do enough damage to you in time.
They unloaded at the FUEL TANK which is one of the most vulnerable parts of the plane, and i had more than enough speed to glide back to base despite not starting that high or fast
Yet it can tank even phoenixes in game, known to be designed to kill bombers? Curious. Your bias is oozing out of the screen buddy.
The landing broke off your tail and it was fixed in 2 minutes? What does that have to do with bombers getting shot at? so we should nerf repair times?
“They unloaded at the fuel tank” Thats funny, cause the fuselage is black and the wings arent, and the fuselage has more HP than the wings, hmmm
Because I wasn’t crippled anywhere near enough to not make it back? Which is a significant part of this discussion.
Maybe you should ask your AI council to remind you every now and then of this too.
the last set of games I’ve played against bombers, none of them would die unless I cripple them into a spin or set them with a fire they can’t put out. Anything short of that and I’ve seen them do whole barrel rolls, dogfight other planes and then RTB.
Where’s the Phoenixes? You know, the giant missile made to shoot down soviet anti-ship missile-carrying bombers.
So its worse against direct hit but overwhelmingly tough against anything with HE or proxy? So it’s still broken? Thanks for nothing ig.
Oh and for posterity, it’s just hard taking your argument seriously knowing you bring Tu-95s into top tier and it can survive. That’s when I know you’re just lying to keep it in the game.
mfw gaijin specifically said fragments under 3g dont actually do anything against the structure of the bomber
I literally survived only one game and thats cause i was abusing broken multipathing lmao
What is wrong with that? Seems very reasonable. You want them to disintegrate in one hit?
mfw gaijin does a bullshit decision and there’s a warrior to defend them for once:
they do
